5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: NOT SURE - See other thoughts!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Couldn't test this RAM out 100% due to the fact my motherboard doesn't support quad channel. Besides that fact the RAM seems to run smooth and i did see about a 25% boost in over all speed and my windows index on RAM went up .1.
- Make sure you MB supports quad channel.

1 out of 5 eggs1600 speed, ?????

Pros: 4 sticks came package together as ddr3 1600

Cons: Tried 2 different motherboards on a x79 platform, No Go.
Even at 1333 had unusal instability issues at both speeds, 1333 and 1600. Will be sending back to G.Skill. Usually GSkill can be counted on, but not this time. Very dissatisfied with my purchase.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can surely take care of this and make sure the memory is working flawlessly in your system. First, make sure you have the latest BIOS/EFI for your motherboard. The memory should work with XMP Profile enabled. For any memory kit above standard, it is necessary to manually input DRAM settings or enable the performance profile. This is a high performance kit so you should be pleased with the result. If the memory is indeed problematic, send them in for RMA and a replacement should work without a glitch. For any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsG.Skill Ripjaws 8GB DDR31600

Pros: Look nice - Easy to install

Cons: Bought this Ripjaws G.Skill DDR3 1600 in July (4 months ago) upgraded system to Windows 7 64 Bit. Made the correct settings in bios. BSoD - Stop error 0124 - hal.dll error. Turns out it was one or more of these memory sticks. Replaced with cheaper RAM no problems.

Other Thoughts: I have bought a lot of memory over the years for my own rigs and builds I have done for others and have never had memory go bad in just 4 months. I had to eat the cost of these. Had heard good things about this RAM and I have another build coming up but would be very hesitant to try this G.Skill 1600 again.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please send the memory in for RMA and a replacement should work better. All G.Skill memory kits are backed by a lifetime warranty. Once you purchase G.Skill, you won't need any other memory. For any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us directly.

1 out of 5 eggsG.Skill 8GB X Series DDR3 1600

Pros: Look nice - Easy to install

Cons: Purchased in July 2012. Upgraded to Win 7 Pro 64 Bit made correct settings in Bios. BSoD 0124 error / hal.dll error. Turns out it was one (or more) of these memory sticks.

Other Thoughts: I've purchased a lot of memory for my own builds and builds I have done for others and I have never had memory go bad in just 4 months - maybe it was my turn for "back luck of the draw". I'd always heard good things about this Ripjaws memory but will be hesitant to try again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: It is as advertised, fast, and nice looking.

Cons: Not really a con because I think it is my motherboards fault but I can't get it to run at 1600mhz.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram

Pros: Third or forth pair of G.Skill sticks I've ordered this month. Haven't had any problems yet. Love love loving G.Skill so far! Pretty awesome looking heat-sinks as well. I prefer RED over BLACK any day.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got this for dual dual channel. Good stuff!

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: Flawless operation under XMP profile on both a Sabertooth P67 and a Sabertooth Z77. Don't waste your money on expensive high-frequency, low-latency RAM. This is the sweet-spot where price and performance meet.

Cons: None whatsoever, as long as you know your CPU cooler will clear the heat spreaders.

Other Thoughts: Buy this. The exotic stuff will get you gains which can only be measured via synthetic benchmarks.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks good in my case with mobo and fans. Speeds as anticipated. OC being a little picky but I think its my mobo (i've read reviews on it and people have a hard time OC'ing to 1866 and 2000 with the mobo)
