3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Looks good. Fair price compared to overpriced Corsair.

Cons: Well.... I have an x79 setup which this ram was basically made for, yet I can't post at 2133..... Very disappointed. The whole reason I got this ram was so that I could maximize my rig without a bottleneck, yet now I am faced with ram that only posts at 1888. 3 eggs.

Other Thoughts: I am doing some research now to figure out why they won't work at 2133.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: Excellent Ram, installed in my Asus Rampage 4 BE without any problems, set up great, overclocks super, cool running with water cooled CPU & GPU, also installed G. Skills cooling fans so it stays super cool. Faster than some high priced ram I've used, My CPU is a I7-4930K.

Cons: Non so far except now I wish I gotten 32GB not 16GB.

Other Thoughts: This is a super ram and a great price, works right out of box and overclocks without a hitch. I press the on button, put in my password and 5 seconds later I'm looking at Windows 10 Tech, that's fast.

Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory was working well in your system. This is a high performance memory kit that will work extremely well in a system with proper configuration. Without manually configuring settings in BIOS, it is possible for the RAM to corrupt and error. The AMD FX-8350 CPU is natively capable of DDR3-1866, so using DDR3-2133 RAM may also require additonal tweaks to CPU settings. Should you need assistance with this, please feel free to let us know. Once you have the RAM set up correctly in BIOS, the computer will be very fast and reliable. The G.Skill support team can prove that there is no better RAM for your computer.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsgood RAM, but not compatible with 1156

Pros: XMP profiles work, fast, overclocks well (no problem hitting 2400 with minor timing adjustments)

Cons: I cannot get this RAM to work right with my MSI P55-GD65 motherboard. All sticks test well, but 9 out of 10 times I boot the computer Windows recognizes all 16gb installed, but will only utilize 7.99gb (the rest being "hardware reserved"). I can get all 16gb working by fiddling with the BIOS settings, but next time I reboot it's back to only half working. Went through all the troubleshooting with G Skill tech support, their suggestion is to send it back and try a different kit. Disappointing since it's more than willing to run fast when it does work. I'm assuming I have run into an unknown compatibility issue with my old 1156 motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be great RAM, but not worth it if you can only get the system to use half of it.

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. To troubleshoot an issue like this, there are many possible causes. The first steps would be to re-install the CPU and RAM to make sure everything is fully seated properly. If you have an aftermarket CPU cooler, make sure it is not too tight or too loose. For the RAM, check the slots, and if possible use a CO2 air bottle to clear any dust. The modules should be firmly inserted and both sides should click right in. In BIOS, you can try boosting the DRAM Voltage or VTT Voltage to see if that helps. Depending on your CPU, a VTT boost may be required. This can be determined by testing the RAM at a lower frequency to see if the issue is resolved. Should you continue to have a problem, feel free to contact us directly and we will be glad to help.

5 out of 5 eggsNo issue. Just work.

Pros: No issue. Just work right out of the box. These replace 16 gig of 1600s I have. I popped them in and restarted the pc. Went into Bios to change xmp profile to have them run at 2133 on Gigabyte Z68 board.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: They replaced 1600s. I notice web surfing, working in applications and switching between them become a bit snappier and faster.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram havnt had any issues

Pros: Great ram. No post issues. Xmp loaded it to 2133 without an issue. Stable, fast couldn't be happier.

Cons: Not a single issue yet.

Other Thoughts: Finally decided to upgrade from my old evga 780i mobo running a q6600@3.2 with 4gb of Kingston ram. To a RIVBE paired with 16gb of g.skill ripjaws z and a 4820k@4.5. The change was night and day. Runs like a champ and looks good doing it! My last build held up for 8 yrs and still does good with 1080p gaming. Hoping this system will have the same luck.

Pros: -XMP brings it to 2133 no problem
-looks great (all G Skill does)
-Lifetime warranty
-All ram sticks worked

Cons: Todays prices are insane

Other Thoughts: Now that Steam has their own version of RAMDISK, I wish I would have went for a 32 GB pack.

5 out of 5 eggsquick memory

Pros: Memory quick, low latency, nothing to complain about. worked exactly as advertised, will use this brand again in the future

Cons: non that I can see

Other Thoughts: this was my first try at anything outside of Corsair desktop memory, I normally always stick with corsair on high-end desktop builds, was a bit concerned at compatibility or stability, but no such problems
