5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great performance!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My old MSI Z77A-GD55 did not recognize it as 2133 out of the box, but a quick overclock fixed that and it's been running beautifully.

5 out of 5 eggsInstall, set profile, done!

Pros: GSkill has done it yet again. I simply installed them, went into the Bios and set the memory profile to 2133 and hit F10 to save. Booted right up and tests perfectly stable in Prime95. I couldn't be happier with the performance boost. Also they went on sale a couple days after I bought them and Newegg gave me the difference in a gift card. Great product and wonderful company to buy it from :)

Cons: nope

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast timings for 2133 MHz ram, easy to install and set to run at rated speeds, good clearance above the heat spreader to allow for pretty much any CPU cooling solution, very noticeable improvement from similarly timed 1600 set

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is the third set of GSkill ram I have owned and I have yet to find a reason to be displeased. I did have a 32GB 1866 set have a stick go bad once, and this can and does happen with anything computer related, but their support was ridiculously prompt and efficient. I received notice of the approved RMA, and had it out and on the way to GSkill the same day, and my replacement set came back 4 days later. STELLAR customer service.

This was my upgrade from a Ripjaws X 4x4GB 1600 set for my gaming build refresh and was well worth the money. It was a quick and easy adjustment in BIOS to set them to run at the rated timings and voltage. Most of the reviews knocking off eggs for any ramset not working with their boards or not being able to get them to run at rated speeds seem to be from a lack of knowledge and due diligence. Before one makes a purchase they should always check with both the RAM and motherboard manufacturers' support forums to be ensure compatibility. Boards will almost always default a memory kit to 1333. The end user simply has to either manually set the XMP profile or enter the ramset timings, voltage, and frequency into BIOS.

I've seen a very noticeable improvement in memory benches and gaming performance feels much smoother even though I went from 16GB down to 8. Unless you're doing encoding, rendering, or intensive photoshop or design work, 8GB of ram is far more than enough for anything you do. Even with the kit's voltage exceeding Intel's suggested maximum voltage (1.575 volts) my CPU still easily handles it and maintains a healthy overclock.

My System:
Intel Core i5-4670K @ 4.5 gigglehertz on 1.21v
Corsair H100i
ASUS Maximus VI Hero
GSkill Sniper DDR3-2133 (2x4GB)

5 out of 5 eggsFast & Simple

Pros: Low Latency / High Bandwidth - Easy configuration (at least on my board). Stable as a bedrock.

Cons: None.. Zero, Nada

Other Thoughts: I paired 16GB [4x4] with an Intel 4770K on an AsRock Z87M Extreme 4 with an ADATA 128GB Pro 900 - I'm surprised just how fast this system is. It sits next to a 3770K [same speed] system w/ 8GB of 1866MHz the same SSD, and it blows it away in every way. I attribute most of that to this ram. Enjoy

5 out of 5 eggsFast cheap Memory

Pros: Very fast memory for the price. OC'd to 2300mhz with same timings. very stable and fast especially with apu.

Cons: timings could be better but not worth a deduction because of the speed and price.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked great for a while.

Pros: Fast, cheap, worked great for the first year.

Cons: Just after the one year mark one of the sticks failed. G. Skill's rma process requires both sticks to be sent back since it's a dual channel kit.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory worked fast in your system for a year. It is strange a module has gone bad, but don't worry, we can have that replaced right away. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. Send the memory in for RMA exchange and we can have a new kit out to you shortly. It is recommended to replace the entire kit because each kit is pre-matched, tested, and guaranteed from factory. By using multiple kits and separate modules, the specifications are no longer guaranteed. Only a single kit of RAM should be used in each computer for optimal performance. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you
