Pros: 32 gb of memory would be great if i could use it all. right now my motherboard is only reading 16gb

Cons: I just bought a ASUS Sabertooth Z77 motherboard with the gskill memory 32gb and it is only reading 16 gb of memory. Need immediate problem solving advice. Is this memory even compatible with the ASUS Sabertooth motherboard?

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can surely help you with this problem. First, reinstall the memory and make sure each module is firmly inserted. If one does not firmly click in, you can try another slot to see if it fits better. To determine whether bad modules may be causing the problem, test each stick to see if they all detect 8GB. If a module does not boot, or is not fully stable, send the memory in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work better. To determine whether bad slots may be causing the problem, test each slot with a working module to see if each can boot. The memory is definitely compatible with the motherboard, so that is not the issue. If all modules work fine individually, but not together, it may be a bad motherboard. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly. We will make sure the RAM is working fast and stable in your computer.

1 out of 5 eggsCan't get speed up to 1866

Pros: Good price

Cons: My memory will not run at 1866. Using a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 and a AMD FX-8320

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can surely help you in achieving the rated specifications of the RAM. The AMD CPU memory controller will be overloaded with four 8GB modules of DDR3-1866, so additional tweaks are necessary to stabilize the system. In addition to the basic RAM settings, you will need to boost the CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V, and that should help the CPU memory controller support this high performance, high capacity RAM. With the memory configured properly, it will be very fast and stable with your 990FX motherboard and FX-8320 CPU. For any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us directly. The G.Skill support team will make sure your computer runs at maximum performance.

1 out of 5 eggsDONT WORK, WONT POST

Pros: NONE CANT GET THE MOBO TO POST

Cons: ALL

Other Thoughts: I HAVE THE ASUS MAXIMUS V FORMULA I JUST PUT ALL THE PARTS TOGETHER TODAY AND ITS A NO GO!!!!!! STUCK ON Q-CODE 30 AND DRAM LED STAYS ON, TRIED ALL STICKS IN DIFFERENT SLOTS, ORDER,IF I PUT ONLY 1 STICK IN I GET THE ERROR CODE 55 NO MEMERY INSTALLED!!!!!! CAN SOMEONE HELP????

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are more than glad to help you. If not one module can boot in any slot, the motherboard must be defective. It is impossible four memory modules are completely dead from factory. Once the motherboard is replaced and you receive a good one, the memory should work flawlessly in your system. Keep in mind the memory is much above standard, so you will need to manually input settings in BIOS, or enable the XMP Profile. The XMP Profile will allow the motherboard to automatically detect and set all memory settings such as DRAM frequency, timings, and voltage. With proper configuration, your computer will be very fast and stable. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Pros: Completely able to be overclocked and excellent right out of the box this kit is the best bang for the buck. Played with overclocking it on my latest build using amd overdrive and it performed like a total monster, I love it. Can't wait to set up a watercooling loop and take it too far LOL.

Cons: NONE! (oh maybe that it didn't install itself LOL).

Other Thoughts: Current build (7.8 on windows experience meter if that maters)

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Satisfied G-Skill Customer

Pros: *Fast
*Cheap (compared to other brands)
*Overclockable
*No DOA
*Sweet heatsinks that match my motherboard

Cons: *Not free:(

Other Thoughts: My very first kit of RAM was 4GB of G-Skill Ripjaws, and when I decided to upgrade to 16GB I don't know why I went with corsair. But luckily I was smart enough to return to G-Skill for my 32GB kit. I'm a G-skill customer for life.

5 out of 5 eggs32 gigs of awesome

Pros: 32 Gigs
Worked out of the box, no DOA sticks thankfully
First time using G.Skill and I'm quite impressed.

Cons: Required a bit of Overclocking to get the correct speeds, once in a blue moon it BSODs, but past that works like a charm and I'm not gunna dock it because of that.

Other Thoughts: I've been a huge Corsair person but I was comparing the size per price and for the Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 gig kit, it was the same price as G.Skill's 32 gig kit so I grabbed this. As I said it's my first time using G.Skill and so far their product is really good.

5 out of 5 eggsBroadens the Spectrum of X58

Pros: I felt it handled the speed of the overclock during calculations and was more stable overall than the previous triple channel .. Likes speed.

Cons: can't find it yet.

Other Thoughts: Used as triple channel ram in a Classy 3 and a P6T deluxe V2. X58 It never flinches and I use it for photoshop, I watch the needle constantly while working...I use the ram..

In X58 Run as triple while overclocking it goes up to about 1750 quite easily, after that its tough.. LOL..

Enjoyed G.skill I did..
