3 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Cheap, 32 gigs

Cons: fairly slow.

Other Thoughts: G.Skill is a good brand.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Glad to hear you got the memory at a good price. With 32GB installed, your computer will be capable of anything you put it to. It is strange you think it is slow, stress the system as much as you can and the system will not slow down at all. Try the same thing with other RAM and you should notice a difference. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGood and stable.

Pros: - Plenty of RAM.

Cons: - A bit slow (relatively,) but that's what you're buying here.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these kits to max out a server motherboard so I could run a workstation, and later a home virtual server. It's been ticking along nicely for a year and a half.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Love its ability to jump up to quad channel - if by chance I decide to drop it on a LGA 2011 chipset. Being a software developer with several different applications/remote connections/ development platforms open all the time. I never want to have to THINK about rebooting.

Cons: your friends may no longer think your cool when you take it to this level.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful upgrade from 16GB

Pros: Wanted 32GB of memory for my personal ESXi server - if I ran 3 Win 2k8 servers at once I was nearly maxing out my memory usage (12GB of 16GB). This allows me to literally run everything until I bottleneck my hard drives. Next investment - SSD.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My ESXi environment is primarily used for penetration testing training and things of the like. It requires me to run memory intensive VM's (Win7 / 2k8 / CentOS servers) and I couldn't be happier with this set of RAM.

Specs:
i7 2600k
1TB WD Black - VM drive
320GB WD Blue - VM Caching drive (swap/pagefile)
2x Intel 10/100/1000 in teaming mode
Running ESXi 5.0
