5 out of 5 eggsBest memory I have ever bought

Pros: Fast, Stable, Compatible.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Purchased this set in 2012. It has worked in many different computers over the years and has been flawless in every one (all intel). I had used Patriot memory in the past and I could never get it to work at the stated speed. This RAM works perfectly at 1866 by just enabling XMP in the bios. Will Always pick G.Skill RAM over all others.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Great memory, my mobo has it at 1866 without tweaking a single setting (Asus Z97-A).
Very inexpensive.
Performs well. I was a bit skeptical due to the low cost, but it's good stuff.

Cons: None. No need to have anything above 1400mhz in real-world applications (including gaming). Anything above is simply another notch on the benchmark belt.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive, runs well, albeit at lower than maximum speed

Pros: * Worked out of the box, memtested cleanly at 1333Mhz and 1600Mhz.
* Lowest cost for 32GB of RAM at the time.
* G.skill is a known high quality vendor who stands behind their products, as some of the other reviewers have stated when they needed an RMA.

Cons: Didn't work at the advertised 1866Mhz in my Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2 motherboard.

It's not on the QVL (qualified vendor list, i.e.: RAM asus has tested at a given speed) for this board, so I shouldn't be surprised. I also haven't looked around for UEFI updates that may address the issue. I'm not going to knock eggs on account of my own ignorance.

Other Thoughts: To test it, I used the AI Tweaker menu, as the Asus manual suggests, for ram not on the QVL. The board's RAM LED lights up solid red after saving and restarting (indicating RAM failure, according to the manual), no video until I depress the "memory OK" button to reset it back to SPD determined speed of 1333Mhz. But setting it to 1600Mhz seems to be perfectly stable and fine.

I should've paid more attention to the QVL than the price tag. But honestly, the new rig so far runs like a champ, so I'm not going to bother with the hassle of returning all of this otherwise perfectly working RAM.

5 out of 5 eggs5 year memory

Pros: Wont need to add memory for a few years
bios recognized 1866 overclock no problem

Cons: First order had one bad strip however the other 24 gigs ran perfect
the RMA went smoothly and all of the next 32 gigs worked perfect

Other Thoughts: never had bad ram before but I do not hold it against g.skill they are still a well trusted brand

5 out of 5 eggsWorks just fine

Pros: Works as it should

Cons: na

Other Thoughts: What can I say? Its functional RAM.

In a few builds now I've installed 2 of these kits on Asus Sabretooth boards and the board picked all 64GB right up, which is more than I can say for the Corsair Vengance memory I used in two builds in the past. Slapped on an XMP profile and all timings set correctly and it came up to 1866 as expected.

Has stood up to long stress tests from Prime95 with 64GB of memory usage.

No complaints.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with ASUS 990FX R2.0 and z97 Deluxe

Pros: Very versitle and stable. Runs great on AMD's and Intel's newest and best chipsets and CPUs. I had this RAM in an Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 with a FX-9370 processor and currently have it in a Asus z97 Deluxe with an i7-4790k processor. It defaults to 1333mhz on both boards, but easily runs at advertised speeds with plenty of headroom left to overclock.

Cons: I don't really consider it a con of the RAM itself, but it did take a little research and patience to get it working on the Intel mobo. I knew the RAM was good since I had just taken it out of the AMD board. It is not on the QVL for the Intel board, but it is XMP ready, so in theory it should work. I found a couple of different threads around reliable sites with people getting the same Q Code of 55, memory not installed. Turns out it has something to do with the i7-4790k being tempermental and after taking the time to take off the water pump, removing the CPU, cleaning everything up, and then carefully reseating the CPU and carefully reinstalling the water block without overtightening it, EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent RAM at 1866

Pros: It is a very decent RAM at the speed of 1866, you can easily overclock to 2133, but I don't see a reason for me to do such since it is fast enough.

Cons: Not really a cons, but the RAM boots up with 1333 speed since most motherboard's default setting is 1333. You need to setup in the BIOS to make it run at 1866 or O.C to 2133.
