5 out of 5 eggsNow at 1T 2133... it cranks.

Pros: Fast, stable, huge capacity, way more capable of tight timings than I expected for modules this large.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: After running them 9-months at 2133 using defaults (auto) in my R4E I was adding another tank and pump to my cooling system. I don't have these in the loop, don't even have fans attached. They're as-is oob with the fins inside a positive-pressure 900D case.

I decided to push them a bit expecting if they fail I'll find something better.

At the moment, no need... these are currently running @2133-9-11-11-20-1T ... that's pretty quick, and tight, for such huge modules, especially 1T. I've got them @v1.65.

The 3960X is running 4.8ghz. So far over 9 nights running F@H max load (cpu + titan + titan + 460) no issue. Passes Intel Burn Test using the "Very High" setting, 10 full passes, several times now. No issue. Custom RD 20gig direct physical benching and extreme transfer testing, no issue.

This is a very nice kit. I may be able to drop the V, or get a bump in frequency at these timings not sure yet.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Large

Pros: Fast and stable

Cons: Unknown yet

Other Thoughts: Worked oob on new Asus R4E build. Defaulted to 1333, which was (in my situation) wanted. After I had the rig up for about 3 days confirming other aspects were good to go, I kicked in the XMP profile #1. No problems. Has been working great @2133.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Memory

Pros: I always purchase G.Skill Memory. Running this in a X79 motherboard. Slight Bump up on the memory controller and memory voltage and running stable at 2200Mhz @ 9-11-11-31 timings.

Cons: None

Pros: Running at the XMP settings of 9-11-11-31 2T, 1066MHz (2133) 1.6V with an i7 3770K for over a year now.

Cons: nothing new out yet?

1 out of 5 eggsNot Compatible with Asus P9X79 Pro

Pros: Couldn't get it to run reliably -- so none.

Cons: My system would only run for 5 or 10 minutes before crashing to power off shut-down, sometimes even during boot-up. Not compatible with Asus P9X79 Pro LGA 2011 mobo -- it should be -- specs say it was designed for specifically this type of mobo and DIMM application.

Other Thoughts: Tried every BIOS combination possible, including underclocking the memory, underclocking the CPU, over-volting the memory (slightly), etc, etc. Read all the tips and tricks at review sites and forums -- no joy...

Dear Customer

We can surely help you troubleshoot and/or stabilize the RAM in your new system. This memory kit is surely compatible with your ASUS P9X79 Pro motherboard. In fact, they were designed and fully tested with each other, so you should have absolutely no issues. To determine whether a module may be bad causing problems, test each stick invidually with XMP profile enabled in BIOS/EFI. If one performs slightly differently than the others, send the memory in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work better. If each module works just fine, they should be able to work together in the system with XMP enabled. Should the problem persist, feel free to contact the G.Skill technical support team. They will make sure the memory is working to specification in your computer. With 32GB of DDR3-2133 G.Skill extreme memory, you can be certain your computer will be one of the fastest personal computers.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsFast and great capacity!

Pros: Lot's of RAM here, and fast!

2133 mode wasn't recognized with my motherboard when I first bought this. ASRock didn't provide much support but G.Skill gave me the specifications to manually configure the timing and it worked great!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Turned off my page file, no need for that anymore. Hello, RAM disk. I put all my temporary paths to the RAM disk.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High-performance 8GB DIMMs are finally here. I was able to run these on an Asus P9X79 WS with a 3930k at 4.5GHz at standard timings - 2133MHz CL9. Nice and simple.

Cons: I don't care for the physical look of G.SKILL Ripjaws memory, but that's fairly trivial. XMP set my Vccsa back to stock, but I don't know if that's a motherboard implementation issue or something else.

Other Thoughts: I originally attempted to run 8x4GB sticks of the popular Samsung 30nm memory, but never was able to get it stable even at 1866MHz. By dropping to 4x8GB sticks, I was able to retain my 32GB, and run at 2133C9. I never bothered to try to run these higher--2133C9 was my goal to begin with.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with Gigabyte Z68MA

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Doesn't work with this motherboard.

If you install only one, two or three modules it will run, but at 1333mh. If you try to run faster it won't post. If you run all four modules the system will post but then hang as it tries to load windows.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you are having issues. First, please make sure you have the latest BIOS/EFI for the motherboard. Second, for full slots of DDR3-2133, a sufficient CPU is necessary such as the Intel K series CPUs. Without a proper CPU, you may not be able to reach the rated specifications of the memory. For extreme performance memory, it is necessary to manually input basic memory settings, or enable the XMP Profile. If you are not familiar with tweaking settings, the XMP Profile may be your best option. Should you continue to have issues or any questions, feel free to contact the G.Skill technical support team directly. They will make sure G.Skill memory is working fast and stable in your computer.
