Pros: Price

Cons: These SDRAM are either DOA or incompatible with my laptop, Toshiba Satellit L855D-S5220. They produce garbage on the screen and prevent the laptop from booting, I have also tried installing one at a time and get the same results, have contacted the MFG and they said to update the bios which I did but get the same results. I should have heeded all the other bad reviews.

Cons: To the contrary of other reviews for this RAM, it does not work on a 2012 Mac Mini i7 model. The system works fine for a little while but will abruptly freeze up here and there (about once an hour on average) and require a hard reset.

Other Thoughts: I use G.Skill on all of my other Mac laptops and desktops without issue. Perhaps I received a bad set or maybe I need a Mac specific set instead (which likely costs more).

Pros: Easy packaging?

Cons: Win8 Laptop would lock up after about a minute. Tried alternating the sticks and no go. RMA'd through Newegg. I'm the third person in a row with this issue as far as reviews go, so I'm not too confident. Hopefully the replacements work. I'll update my review if they do.

Pros: It's very affordable

Cons: when I first installed this memory in my 2012 mac mini it seemed fine, until a few minutes into using the computer it kept freezing and getting a distorted picture. I tried SMC and PRAM reset, didn't help. I tried a hardware test and it froze the same way instantly when the RAM test started. Hopefully the replacement will work. I saw the other reviews that had this problem, but the ones that said they used it in Mac minis said it worked for them. I guess they got lucky.

Pros: Very fast and good price

Cons: Can't get through (even typing this) without the screen freezing up and having to restart. Another user below had this same issue...don't see why this should be a problem with the RAM

Pros: Inexpensive; didn't have any issues getting my computer to recognize the memory

Cons: Didn't work long enough for me to even use my computer with it; having to spend even more than I already paid for the memory just to get a new set (this is why I prefer shopping in a brick-and-mortar store: minimal cost to drive out to get it exchanged the same day I find out something is defective)

Other Thoughts: I've heard good things about G.Skill so this is my first purchase from them. I'm going to hold my opinion until I get my replacement memory. Hopefully it won't be DOA as well. As for the memory, I had installed the memory into my Lenovo Thinkpad and started experiencing random freezes in the operating system that left visual distortion as well. Ran MemTest86+ on my computer and at the exact same point in the tests, my computer would either freeze up or reboot out of MemTest86+.
