5 out of 5 eggsFunTaskic RAM

Pros: Now understand, this G. SKILL RAM 2400 (PC3 19200) was designed for a 2011 system.
I have Gigabyte G.1 ASSASSIN X58X Chipset and a i7 975X Extreme Bloomfield CPU. I had to buy it in sets of 2 X 3 sets to get 24GB.
And since the Memory controller is inside the CPU, I was not sure it would read 2400 speed.
While it did not, it only made it to 2368 speed WITHOUT OC.
I set Block speed at 133, QPI at 6.4, UNI at X44, all are base settings.
This MB allows all kinds of settings in White, Yellow, & so forth.
All my settings were in the Low to Middle White, Except the RAM Voltage was at 1.66.
I ran Sandra 2013 Tech Ver. & the speeds were right up to the top with 2011 systems.
Can't for anything better.
Newegg may have done this or may not of, but ALL the Serial #s were in exact sequence, I don't know for sure if that had something to do with how constant the RAM sticks were or not, since I was not Over-Clocking the RAM or CPU, I don't think it would have mattered.
If you have a X58 system with 9XX CPU, BUY THIS RAM!!!

Cons: I could not reach 2400, (only 2368), without OCing, but who cares.
My Computer in not a Heater anymore for those cold mornings.

Other Thoughts: The 3 days it took to get here was stressful, I should gotten Next Day. Newegg and my shop are both just off Interstate 5.

3 out of 5 eggs1st DOA. 2- just fine with A10-5800K

Pros: The second kit works as advertised at 2400mhz. Had to increase CPU NB voltage up to 1.4625v though (I know, it's insane)
RMAing was easy

Cons: -The first kit was DOA. One memory stick worked fine. The other one wouldn't work at all. Very disappointing.
-The first kit was single-sided (manufactured Feb 2013). The second one (Mar 2013)- double-sided. I guess, they use whatever memory chips they can find.

Other Thoughts: Switched to this kit from the GSklill ripjaws X series 2133mhz.
My APU's IMC is very weak. CPU NB voltage had to be increased from 1.275 to 1.4625V in order to achieve stability. Probably, will decrease the memory frequency down to 2133 before Richland comes out.

Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory is working well in your system. This is an extreme memory kit that can provide great performance for your AMD AM2 platform. With an overclocked CPU, your system will be able to take advantage of the high DRAM frequency. DDR3-2400 is only capable with the best CPUs on the market, and as you have discovered, even then a high memory controller voltage is necessary to stabilize the system. Overclocking experience is highly recommended when dealing with such high performance RAM. It can be difficult at times, but if you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact ths G.Skill technical support team.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorks at 2400MHz

Pros: I have built many computers with all kinds of OC'd RAM, but this was the first time I didn't have to fiddle for hours to get it to work at the advertised speed. Simply plugged it in and the motherboard recognized it at 1600MHz with the correct overclock profile shown to run it at 2400MHz. After selecting the 2400 setting I rebooted and voila it was running at the advertised speed. A memory check with memtest 4.2 confirmed it was running stable and with no issues.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: To bad the price jumped almost $20 since I bought it two weeks ago. I would have ordered another set if I had known that it works so well.
My configuration:
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A85X-ITX
CPU: AMD A6-5400K Trinity (OC 4.1GHz)
Memory: G.Sklill F3-2400C10D-8GZH
SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 256GB

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram!

Pros: Fast and capable of low timings
Well made
nice looking
G.Skill's forum is awesome and explains perfectly how to set this memory up and test to see if you can reach the XMP profile speeds. Although I haven't done any of that just yet (see other thoughts).

Cons: I don't have a K variant i5 or else I would already be rocking 2400 on my G.Skill approved mobo...not G.Skill's fault that the memory controller might not be able to handle it! I may try to set the XMP profile and see what happens after a while of use and burn-in with the MSI OC Genie settings.

Other Thoughts: I use this with an MSI GD-55 mobo and i-5 3570 (non K)...went into Control Center and activated OC Genie. Result=CPU @4GHZ and ram @2133 (10-12-12-31-2T CPU-Z stats). Completely stable. Although the Ram is rated at 2400, this cpu will probably not be able to support that. GSkill even says only the K-variant 3570's have a good chance, so I'm pretty satisfied with this result for now. Paired with an EVGA OC GTX 660 (non-Ti), I get 60fps average in BF3 Ultra settings on 1920x1080 Sony Bravia 32inch tv. Considering getting 120hz monitor to see if I can get more FPS. Muauauahahahahaha!

5 out of 5 eggsuse recomended hardware

Pros: been runing at 2400mhz on a z77 MB and 3gen I5 for 3 month now with no problems at all.
Iam glad that the XMP set all setting for me because i dont know about all the memory setting in bios, low tech knowledge.

Cons: tired of nagative reviews with high tech knowledge that don't no what there doing.
the votage is 1.65v wend uses with XMP, IT"S AT THE BOTOM OF THE PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
need a 3gen CPU with 1600mhz memory controller

Other Thoughts: The set do run a little warm with a good airflow case.
highes benchmark i have ever had.
low tech knowledge, not buying knowledge, knew better not to pair this memory with a CPU & MB that wasn't on the recomended list.

4 out of 5 eggsSpeed problem could be me.

Pros: I originally could not get it to post on auto profiles, and eventually got it to run at 2203MHz. After some e-mail tech support from G.Skill. more QPI/DRAM voltage (1.393750v) gave me 2288MHz and passed all stability tests.

Cons: See pros.

Other Thoughts: See pros.

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory is working well in your system. High frequencies such as DDR3-2000+ can be very difficult to reach; maximum overlcocking potential is dependent on the CPU and user. Higher frequency requires higher voltage (CPU memory controller), so make sure your system can support it without damaging hardware. With some CPU overclocking and RAM at DDR3-2200+, the system will be many times faster than any pre-built computer. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

3 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: Look good, heat sinks look like they probably do well.

Cons: Will only operate up to 2225Mhz even will all other speeds turned down. Both auto profiles put it above that (wont work.) and took a lot of trial and error to get running.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can surely assist you in reaching the rated specifications of the RAM. This memory is rated for DDR3-2400, 10-12-12-31, 1.65V, so it will work at exactly those specifications. Keep in mind not all CPUs are natively capable of DDR3-2400, so this may be a potential problem. Currently, only the Intel i7 K or X series CPUs are natively capable of DDR3-2400. Any other CPU will require special tweaks to stabilize the memory controller. With a proper motherboard and CPU, the XMP profile should work without a glitch. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Memory

Pros: Price. Performance, Looks.
I got this because it matched my motherboard...Turns out my motherboard was on the supported list. I turned on my PC went into BIOS and selected "Profile 1" in the XMP tab-Save and exit and it booted right up.

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: Intel I5 3570
MSI Z77A-G45
2 Sandisk Extreme 120gb SSD's in RAID0 (986MB/s average)
AMD 6950 2gb Reference unlocked shaders
Xignatek Gaia cpu cooler

Both motherboard and CPU are recommended to run this RAM at the advertised speed on the manufacturer website.
