5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram, fast, nice low profile with metal heat spreader!

Pros: I love G.SKILL ram, and this memory didn't disappoint me at all. I needed to upgrade my kid's computer and it has a small motherboard with a tower cpu HSF, so I really had to have ram with a fairly low profile instead of the sometimes-goofy looking giant ram heatsinks. The metal heat spreaders on this memory are perfect - they protect the memory during installation or while sitting on the parts shelf waiting for installation, and they don't stick up too high.

I immediately ran memtest on the memory after installation, and they passed a 12 hour test with no errors.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Windows 10 does some strange things with poor behavior while indexing photos and media, so 8GB of ram just isn't enough. I'm very happy with this memory and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fast ram upgrade without the tall heatsinks and also at a really good price. Newegg and G.SKILL wins, every time.

5 out of 5 eggsThe G stands for Grrrrrreat!

Pros: Responsive, reliable and red....need I say more?!

Cons: It doesn't improve a human's memory...but that's not what it was designed for.

Other Thoughts: Been a G.Skill fan for years and see no reason to change now. They build quality products that last for years.

5 out of 5 eggsGskill is built for gaming

Pros: - Great timings
- Gskill quality
- Pairs with MSI nicely
- Fast performance
- Low profile
- Heatsink keeps it cool

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I have used other memory kits from all the major brands before I found Gskill.....and I will never switch!
All my builds use GSkill and I have never received dead ram or found any to under perform. Gaming with GSkill is a breeze and I have never had any timing issues within bios on any of my builds. GSkill has proven itself to be a quality manufacturer and is my only choice for memory!
I have used: Ares, Ripjaws, Sniper and just ordered ddr4 ripjaws v series for my personal system build

5 out of 5 eggsXMP compatible

Pros: Nicely anodized shield. Low height. New motherboard found 'em at 9-9-9-24 (although 6.7x), and the XMP option boosted that to 8x.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I ordered these as a replacement for some new Mushkins (same timings and CAS level) that didn't pass testing at all, and the G.SKILLs "just worked" during subsequent testing. No problems at all. I finally changed these to the mainboard XMP ("profile 1") option setting in the BIOS after a few days (some), and they're [still] working fine. I used a different model of G.SKILL memory in a previous build, and haven't had any problem with those after two years. Next time, I'm not even going to bother looking for a good price from other brands.
