5 out of 5 eggsVery stable / Good value

Pros: Installed 32GB in a new build. No issues from day one. Been running heavy load for more than a month with no issues.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I do not overclock anything. These stick are solid and stable. Can't beat the value for a CAS 9 stick.

Pros: Works perfectly, seems like a great deal so far

Cons: none at this time

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you got the RAM at a good price and it works perfectly in your system. The memory is definitely a great deal. With 8GB, your computer will be capable of anything you put it to. This is easy plug and play performance RAM for any computer that can support 8GB modules. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsTwo Steps Back

Pros: Looked nice. Fit into the memory slot really well.

Cons: Didn't work. System wouldn't POST reliabily.

Other Thoughts: Bought as part of "combo deal" and it olny worked part of the time. I was thinking I had a defective power supply in the case or the motherboard itself. Turned out it was this memory stick. I've always had great results with G-Skill but this is their "value" series and I wouldn't recommend it. I replaced this stick with their 1600 (higher speed) Ripjaws series memory and everything worked great. Sure made building a new system more difficult than I had hoped, but that's the risk I took when I decided to build my own syste.

Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory looked nice and fit well in the system. It is strange the module did not work properly. Send it in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work much better. This is a plug and play memory stick that is perfect for any builder. 8GB is enough to run any game or program, and it will allow the operating system to remain nice and smooth. Good to hear you were able to get everything resolved. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsPerforms as advertised

Pros: I bought this mainly to supplement my 4 GB stick, which mainly served as a way to get my system here much faster, as I had not the money to afford more and still get the components I needed, such as the A6-5400K, Antec ISK 300-150 Mini ITX case, ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+, and 2 Seagate 2.5" Hybrid drives (which make booting much faster). However, since I run Linux as my main OS (Slackware, to be precise), I still have to run Windows 7 in order to do my homework (I am studying for a bachelor's in computer science), I had to get the extra RAM. Everything seems a lot faster now :)

Cons: None. Performs as expected, given its price

Other Thoughts: Since RAM prices are outrageously inexpensive these days, there's no reason to have at least 8 GB of RAM, and more is probably not a bad idea, depending, of course, on your computer usage (how many programs you run at one time, and what programs demand a lot of RAM just for themselves).

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 8 gigs on a single stick.

Ran memtest 86 for two hours and not a single error.

No Fast and Furious neon heatsinks.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: Been using at stock automatic voltages and timings with no issues whatsoever. Second time buying a G.Skill memory product, and would buy again.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any problem with the memory kit, feel free to contact our tech support anytime.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, no problems to speak of

Pros: Almost 3 months and absolutely no problems! Memory works, decent for the price (I picked it up as part of a Barebones / DIY kit for $34.99).

Cons: None to speak of

Other Thoughts: Wish I would have picked up another one to run dual channel.
