5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: - Plug and play. I added this to an identical set for a total of 32GB. Works perfectly. I've never had any issues with either set and I've had the first set for going on 2 years now.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend. I have yet to experience any problems with G. Skill memory in any configuration.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, well priced, RAM.

Pros: I bought 4 sticks of these for my i7 system for VM usage and university projects, and they've worked quite well.
Good speed, function as advertised.

Cons: The G.Skill Sniper stand out in my build which is otherwise black and white.

Other Thoughts: Works well, decently priced, would recommend.

5 out of 5 eggssleek, affordable and runs at 1600

Pros: fits in compact spaces(no obnoxiously large heatspreaders). i have a coolermaster 212 evo dual fan and this ram can fit under it in the A1/B1 dual channel slots. nice if you plan on building a 4 channel kit with these. affordable at the 9 cas latency only bested by the tridentx series. if people are having trouble getting it to run at 1600 freq, change the timing manually in bios or xmp and make sure that you put them in the right slots for dual channel.

Cons: none so far

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome. Does what RAM should do!

Pros: - Heavy
- Feels high Quality
- Performs well when overclocked

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: - I have bought the low voltage counterpart to these, it performed pretty terribly, but these standard voltage ones do great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory!

Pros: Runs as advertised. As noted in previous reviews, you must enable the XMP settings in your motherboard BIOS to enable the 1600 speed.
Working like a champ with the XMP settings enable since I bought earlier this year in May.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Runnning Win 7 Ultimate
Since the price has come down on it, I'm going to buy another set and bump my system up to 32GB RAM. Also looking forward to my tax return so I can bump up my CPU to an i&

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't run at rated speeds

Pros: -Looks nice
-Doesn't have an obscenely high profile

Cons: -Doesn't run at DDR3-1600 by default
-When XMP enabled to run at 1600, ran stable for 2 months, then became unstable

Other Thoughts: This memory requires the use of XMP to enable the advertised speed. That in itself is fine. However, after two months at the rated speed with XMP enabled, the system became unstable and would not boot. After extensive troubleshoot to rule out other components to include the mobo, PSU, GPU, HDD, etc., I found that disabling XMP and running this memory below advertised specs was the only way to keep the system stable.

I called G.SKill's tech support, and rather than being a normal company phone line, it was some guy answering the phone as if I had just woke him up. It seems that G.SKILL still has antiquated warranty service where you pay to ship the defective product back, wait several weeks to a few months, and you get a refurbished product back. Yea, I want my PC down that long...

I've been using G.SKILL for memory exclusively for the past 9 years. I'll be going elsewhere for my memory needs moving forward. When it comes to warranty support, advanced replacement needs to be an option, and free 2-way shipping is expected.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Hi Jason

Glad to hear you like the design of the G.Skill Sniper series. Most high performance G.Skill DDR3 memory modules default to DDR3-1333 CL9. This allows the RAM to be compatible and boot up in older system that do not support DDR3-1600 natively. With a compatible motherboard and capable CPU, this RAM should work flawlessly with XMP enabled. If a module is not working properly, send it in for RMA exchange and we can have a brand new replacement out to you shortly. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free, so your computer can be back up to full speed in no time. The general turn around time for USA is one week, and we do not refurbish memory modules so there is no such used stock. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great so far.

Pros: Works great. My old memory sticks went dead without me realizing, giving me random crashes during games, such as Thief, Witcher 3, and even Portal. Once I figured out the old memory sticks were faulty and installed these new ones, I stopped getting blue screens of death regarding memory management and can finally play in peace.

It also has a great slim profile and will look aesthetically pleasing on most builds that use any sort of black, almost to the point of boring.

Cons: A little bigger than I expected, since I used to have standard office DDR3 ram, but no bigger than most gaming DDR ram. Overall, it's not enough to detract from the rating.

Other Thoughts: The red blood splatter is hard to see and notice unless you focus on the side, in case that's a factor for you.
