5 out of 5 eggsStable and cool

Pros: Inexpensive, stable, nice looking. I am running a Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 Home. Have Steam and Raptr with a number of games. An MSI G43 mb and AMD 8370e processor with 16 GB Gskill Sniper RAM. Seagate HD and R280 video. This thing flies and takes all I can give it. Probably the best machine I've built and my first was a 486/33 with Windows 3.11!

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Really stable RAM. I plan on buying another 16 GB pack soon.

5 out of 5 eggsReally good upgrade

Pros: Runs at advertised speed of 1866mhz no problem. Fast memory and good price.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I refuse to use XMP. But I got it running at 1866 just like it's rated without it so I don't really care. But This brings about something. Why do people use XMP when all you have to do is tell the bios to run ram at x multiplier and manually adjust timings? That's what I did and have been doing for years with 0 issues.

2 out of 5 eggsGood until memory failure

Pros: I got 32 GB of memory on newegg in Nov 2012 for $119.98 - what a steal!

Cons: Was never able to achieve full 1866 specs.

All four sticks of memory have failed now, 2 years later without heavy use.

Other Thoughts: Now I'll get to see how G.Skill backs up their lifetime warranty for their memory.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory was working well in your system. You got a steal of a price. With a capable CPU and motherboard, you should have no problem reaching the rated specifications. Though with two separate kits of RAM in the same computer, DDR3-1866 CL10 and XMP/DOCP Profile is no longer guaranteed to work. It is necessary to manually configure settings.

If you believe the RAM is defective, don't worry, send them in for RMA exchange and we can have a new kit out to you shortly. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free, so your computer can be up to full speed in no time. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

5 out of 5 eggsStill running strong!

Pros: I purchased these back in 11/10/2012. I am writing this review again after having them for 2+ years and they're still running FLAWLESSLY!
At advertised speeds system reads all 16 gb, G.Skill is still one of my favorite brands when it comes to Memory.

Cons: My only Con is that people that claim "High" Tech skill's are still somewhat noobish when it comes to setting XMP profiles in the Bios to reach advertised speed's. It is required, I suppose they're not that Tech savvy to begin with.

Other Thoughts: My original Review can be seen here http://www.newegg.com/Product/SingleProductReview.aspx?ReviewID=3562938

I have recommended G.Skill to all of my PC gaming buddies when they ask for quality ram for new builds!

5 out of 5 eggsboots right up

Pros: ASRock Z97 Extreme6 + 32 GB of this ram and no booting issues whatsoever. The speed defaulted pretty low, but adjusting to 1866 provided no problems. Never have to look at my available RAM usage now! Great value.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Good value when I bought for $121.99 x 2 = $243.98 on 11/28 (black friday deals)

3 out of 5 eggsNot at advertised clock speed

Pros: Good price for 16 gigs
Not ridiculously large (no interference with my CPU cooler)
Subtle design that isn't gaudy

Cons: Only at 1333 mHz instead of advertised 1600

Other Thoughts: It still does its job well, I have no issues with any programs, but it bothers me that it isn't up to advertised specs

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We will be glad to help reach the advertised specifications of the RAM. High performance RAM defaults to a standard value so the system can POST and allow you to make the necessary changes in BIOS/EFI. This also allows the RAM to be used in systems that may not necessarily support DDR3-1866. With any RAM above the standard, it is necessary to manually configure settings in BIOS/EFI, or enable the XMP/DOCP memory profile. In some cases, additional tweaking may be necessary as not all CPUs are natively capable of the high RAM frequency. If you are unsure of this specific information, contact the G.Skill support team or post a thread in the G.Skill technical forum and you can receive an answer shortly. With capable hardware, it is guaranteed the RAM will run at full speed and you will be very pleased with the performance.

Thank you
