3 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Great RAM for the price. 1 stick works perfectly and OC was easy as pie.

Cons: 1 stick came DOA. I know this happens with RAM but really annoying none the less.

Other Thoughts: The failure of 1 RAM stick does not make this a bad product as "stuff" happens just wish it didn't happen to me. The RMA process was easy enough and should have replacement soon. I just hope I don't end up with anymore DOA sticks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Price for the Upgrade

Pros: This was a total impulse buy that I'm glad I took! I have a pretty basic setup with an i5-4670k, GTX 660 1GB, and 8GB A-DATA ram. I previously benchmarked the Heaven tool maxed out with a score of 50 (FPS min: 1.5, max, max: 3.8). Adding the 16GB of RAM immediately jumped my new score to 287 with a max and min of 6.8 & 25.4. GPU upgrade is next!

Cons: None that I've seen!

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you are having issues. This is a high performance memory kit that works great for motherboards and CPUs that can support it. Since the memory specifications are above standard, it is necessary to manually input settings in BIOS/EFI. If you have a pre-built computer that is unable to adjust memory settings, you may need a standard plug and play kit. Please contact the G.Skill support team with hardware specifications and they will make sure the fastest supported 16GB memory kit is working in your computer.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsKICK'n Booty RAM!

Pros: Lower level of heat sink, helps enormous heat sink/ fans. FAST timings. Less heat given off than my RIPjaw X 1333 ram.

Cons: Wanted to run at 1333 on AUTO, Forced to 1866 and its holding just fine. FYI your AMD CPU must support 1866 or you cannot run the ram at that speed.

Other Thoughts: My rig:
AMD FX-6100 6-core CPU
Powercolor Radeon HD7870 GPU
MSI 970a-G46 Mobo
16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X 1866
2 1TB WD Black 7200RPM SATA drives
1 500gb WD Black 7200RPM SATA drive
1 LG DVD Burner
1 ASUS BLU-RAY reader/DVD burner
All in an Antec Lan Boy Air (Yellow) case

3 out of 5 eggscan't get 1866

Pros: G.Skill starts right up with every motherboard I have, never had a bad chip

Cons: can't get 1866 no matter how I tinker with the timings

Other Thoughts: have 5 Gigabyte motherboards that support 1866 RAM, all 5 have G.Skill memory. 3 have 1600 memory that work perfectly, the other 2 have 1866 that won't allow me to get 1866 no matter what I do. I'm told I'm overclocking no matter how close I get to the correct timing settings...VERY frustrating. Seems like the G.Skill 1600 RAM is wonderful, just can't get the 1866 to work!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM, and best RAM for it's class

Pros: I love this RAM! It's got the price of say a 1600 clock speed CAS 10 ram, but it's got 1886 clock speeds at a CAS of only 9! Of course this difference is VERY miniscule, but everyone who calls themselves gamers knows that every millisecond counts. It's really cheap for the price, and the blue color looks really nice in my PC.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Buy it now if you're thinking about getting it

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got it around the holidays for $115. It works, just adjust your speed in bios. 8.1 WEI. Nice blue that matches my MOBO.

Cons: None. Will be buying another 16 gig. Unfortunately the prices have gone up on memory.

4 out of 5 eggsFine so far

Pros: Fast and looks great with my other components.

Cons: Took an egg off for the fact that when I first booted up the new build it was showing the ram at 1333 and incorrect timings. However, this may have been an issue with the Asus mobo I'm using. It was easy enough to change what was needed in the bios to get the ram where it's supposed to be. Been fast and stable since.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you think the memory looks great and it is working fast in your system. Regarding initial bootup, all DDR3 motherboards can only default up to standard DDR3-1333 CL9 or DDR3-1600 CL11. The memory you purchased is not standard RAM, it will not automatically boot up to performance values, you must enable XMP/DOCP/EOCP, or manually configure settings in BIOS/EFI for the system to recognize. Memory is unlike any other hardware like graphics cards, it does not come pre-overclocked from factory. The memory is rated and tested by the manufacturer to reach certain specifications, then it is up to the user to unleash maximum performance for their system. Esppecially with ASUS motherboards, it is a great combination with G.Skill RAM, so you should experience great results. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly and we will be glad to help.
