5 out of 5 eggsSUPERIOR QUALITY

Pros: I did a lot of research before buying this DDR3 ram, G.Skill has a good reputation from many overclockers for lasting a long time. This ram is very stable, grate heat-sinks, and just looks sexy. ASUS has this ram on the Qualified Vender List for maximum compatibility with my board, you can never go wrong if ASUS says its stable, and puts it on their QVL. Super easy to install, Just go into Bios, and select XMP, and that setting will automatically set all the timings for the DDR3 1866 ram automatically, or you can also set them manually if you please, how easy is that. I needed the 32gigs kit, if you are using 3DS MAX, MAYA, or BLENDER for computer animation, or video editing with CS6 MASTER COLLECTION, or SONY VEGUS PRO, the extra gigs will definitely help on those big projects. RAM DISK is another grate option to use with this ram. Comes with LIFE TIME WARRANTY, wow!!!!!! and Works with AMD and INTEL platforms. RAPJAWS X rock.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Blue

works great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: You'll have to adjust your frequencies in the bios to get 1866 as it runs on standard at first.

Also, this RAM is compatible with the Noctua NH D14 and asus 990fx sabertooth mobo for reference.

3 out of 5 eggsGood RAM overall

Pros: Good ram, system posted fine, to achieve proper speed make sure to set xmp profile in the BIOS, otherwise it will run at slower speed.

Cons: 1 stick died after I rebooted my PC today, just submitted the RMA form. Bad thing though that I have to send all 4 sticks of ram and be without a pc for a couple weeks possibly.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear a module has become defective. Unfortunately, for high performance RAM, each kit is pre-matched, tested, and guaranteed from factory. To ensure optimal performance, the entire kit should be returned so you can receive a complete kit back. The RMA turn around time is very quick, so your system should not be down for too long. Once you receive the new kit, enable the XMP Profile in BIOS, then everything should be ready to go at full speed. With 32GB of DDR3-1866 CL9 installed, your computer will be extremely fast. This RAM will maximize the performance of any extreme CPU on the market. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

Quality and customer service are our top priorities.

5 out of 5 eggs32Gs at 1866

Pros: Matches up to both my processors for both my main rig and server once you get the settings right.

Cons: Pretty sure it's the MoBos more than it is the RAM, but had to set all timings manually to get rated timing.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Breezy XMP Profiles make this a snap on 2nd and 3rd Gen Core systems

Pros: Worked right out of the box. I've heard some stories from people who are having issues populating all 4 ram banks on some boards. No trouble here on a Asus H77 board.

Know this: Default speed when you drop them in is 1333.

You either tweak from there or if you have an intel board built for 2nd or 3rd gen Intel CORE processors , you go into your BIOS and find your memory overclocking submenu and select 'XMP' and pick a profile and that's all you have to do.

The board will pull the proper settings right off the chip.

Bear in mind that 1866 is officially supported on Haswell CPU.

On my Ivy Bridge setup I got 1800 and then tweaked it a bit from there.

G.Skill Ripjaws has always been good for a couple more clicks past 'rated and validated' speeds for me and this is no exception.

My windows Memory score was an 8.0

Really good 'mainstream/performance' Ram.

Cons: Nothing to complain about here.

Other Thoughts: If you do production work, check out 'fancycache' which is a free 180 day beta download right now. I set up 10 GB as a cache to back up my Samsung 840 Pro and it's a I went from 500ish read/writes all the way to 5,000MB/sec

This is why you get a 32GB (or more if you are rocking one of the X79 or server boards) - so you dedicate a huge RAM CACHE.

If you do video editing or huge Photoshop files or other things that benefit from this sort of massive bandwidth.

They hold their resale better than other brands. I'm selling an old 4 and 8 GB kit of DDR 1600 CL 7 from 2010 on an auction site right now and that money is covering a good enough chunk of the cost of this kit to justify the upgrade.

Hope this helps! If it did, please click below and let me know. Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsPlug and play whoot

Pros: Was plug and play straight out of the box chews up photoshop and anything I throw at it.

Cons: Was a little disappointed in the windows rating of 7.7 out of 7.9. I just thought it would be higher.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product to those that want to build a beast of a machine.
