5 out of 5 eggsGood quality memory

Pros: The memory works just great, clocks in at the right speed and everything seems good. What's more it doesn't have a huge massive heatsink that will interfere with some CPU fan/heatsinks out there. It does have a heatsink, but the size is a lot more reasonable than some of the monstrosities you see out there.

The black heatsink also works well in my case with a black CPU fan and a dark grey motherboard.

Cons: None really.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!!

Pros: -No issues reported with memtest software

-Fast and 16 gigs

Once its set on the bios (automatically with XMP profile) and passed memtest, thats all you need.

Cons: -None so far

Other Thoughts: 16 gigs is overkill, however, expect ram usage to increase in the following years. When I'm gaming, using voice chat, and lots of other software in the background, I usually go over the 8 gigs threshold.

4 out of 5 eggsIm sure this is great ram

Pros: The speeds and size of this ram are great for the price i believe i got it at 149.99.

Cons: When order was received ram package had been cut open and a ram stick was missing. The only reason this is getting 4 eggs is because Newegg was very helpful with the RMA. I did however decide to go with some corsair vengeance pro 1866 I had laying around from another order.

Other Thoughts: Went for this ram because its lower profile and for the size of cooler I was using it was needed however the package had been opened and a ram stick removed. Good thing I ordered from newegg and the RMA process was very smooth.

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. This is a high speed, high capacity memory kit that is great for any new system build. 16GB of DDR3-1866 is the perfect amount for the latest CPUs, including the unlocked and extreme editions. The RAM can fully unleash performance, so you can expect a fast and stable operating system under any condition. It is very strange you received an open package, but glad to hear NewEgg took care of it swiftly. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great 1866 memory for a great price.

Cons: 9-10-9-28 seems a lil high but it works perfectly for my non demanding needs. One of the better price/performance ratios out right now.

5 out of 5 eggsSniper-fast and RAD!

Pros: She works as expected. Just have to adjust the MOBO timings, etc in BIOS to XMP profile 1 because the Sabertooth Mark 1 z97 auto-runs it at 1333mhz. Not a problem!

Cons: Nothing thus-far!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Stuff just works. Paired with a 4790K (N82E16819117369) and a Z97 Mark 1 mobo (N82E16813132124) it's fast, clocked as advertised and works great.

Cons: Price could be a bit more competitive but you get what you pay for.

2 out of 5 eggsone of the worked kind of...

Pros: worked ok while it lasted

Cons: one of the sticks was DOA the other worked but my computer reported its speed was1333 when its supposed to be 1866 (yes my motherboard can handle 1866)

Other Thoughts: i'll have to do an rma, i'll update this to a better rating if they send me stuff that works.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can surely assist you with this issue. This memory kit is much above standard, so it is necessary to manually configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without the proper set up, the memory can not operate at the rated specifications, and the system may be unstable. Should you need assistance with this, please contact the G.Skill support team directly. With a capable CPU and compatible motherboard, they will make sure the RAM is completely stable at full speed.

Thank you
