1 out of 5 eggsRather let down

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Said on box 100% tested for quality, arrived DOA.

Other Thoughts: Companies should really test things before sending them out, EVERY single time I order a batch for a new computer, between 1-3 parts arrive dead.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. It is very strange the module arrived DOA. Unfortunately, through third party handling, random defects can happen. If you RMA directly to G.Skill, you will always get a good working product. Please send the memory in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work flawlessly. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free, so your computer will be up to full speed in no time. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. 2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low price.

Cons: Won't support motherboard at its rated speed. Should have stuck with Kingston or Crucial for a few $ more. Others have reported same problem on Gigabyte forums.

Other Thoughts: Bought 4 of these for two Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 MBS

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can surely help you if you are experiencing issues. If the motherboard is not reporting the RAM at rated specifications, double check settings in BIOS to make sure they are correct. This memory may be detected at DDR3-1600 CL11 or DDR3-1333 CL9, depending on motherboard BIOS. If not at full speed, manually input settings in BIOS and everything should be fast and stable. Also, depending on CPU used, further tweaks may be necessary. Not all CPUs can natively support DDR3-1600. Should you need further assistance with this, contact the G.Skill support team directly. They will make sure the RAM is operating at maximum performance.

5 out of 5 eggsFree With CPU

Pros: - Easy installation
- Runs @ advertised speed out of the box
- Easy overclocking & doesn't overheat
- Cheap, I got 1 stick for free when I purchased my new AMD processor and bought another stick a couple weeks later for $42

Cons: -No heatsink (cause they look awesome)
-Prices have increased, I guess this isn't really a con but since I've purchased these the price has increased by almost 50% to $62

Other Thoughts: Overall very satisfied especially since the first stick was free
