G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C10D-8GAB

Pros: Easy to install. No issues with the speed. Booted right up at 2133 (not 1600 as some report) on ASUS M5A97 R2.0 with AMD-FX 8320 Vishera. I don't believe this was listed as compatible with the motherboard at the time of purchase, but I did note another set of GSkill with the same timings that was so I took a lucky gamble.

I bought these rather than the Ripjaws or Snipers because they matched the color theme of my build and were low profile enough that the H80i tubes wouldn't touch them. Turns out that was a good choice because the tubes are pretty close to them even being low profile. But they are not touching!

This RAM doesn't appear to get over hot at all. It runs stable at the specified speed, at least in my board.

Zero complaints.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 with AMD-FX 8320 Vishera, 8GB GSkill Ares 2133, Corsair H80i, 128GB SanDisk SSD, 240 GB Seagate Barracuda, and MSI 9800 GTX (upgraded today and waiting for MSI GTX 760 4GB!) Powered by Antec HCG-750M (with BitFenix Alchemy extension cables) in Thermaltake Chaser A31.

Pros: Bought these specifically to clear my Cryorig R1 Ultimate CPU cooler. As with all of my prior G.Skill memory products, these model work as advertised.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Was seriously considering stepping up to 16GB this time, but just couldn't justify the added $80 expense.

Pros: never get close to going over, play heavy games with tabs open.

Cons: none

Pros: The color is amazing!

Fits perfectly with my color scheme and nothing more to say!

Cons: None its a ram memory for dang sakes!

Pros: Very well working ( 2133 is sooooo FAST )
Personally, I have a A10-7850k and I dedicated 2 GB of memory for the GPU... Running games pretty good, without even a graphic card... I love this ram, good look, low profile, perfect.

Cons: The RAM I recieved was defective, but the custumer service was great, now It works great.

Pros: Worked off the bat with my gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 with the simple 1600 settings. no need to manually overclock it or manipulate the CPU clocking to get memory to speed.

Cons: non so far.

Other Thoughts: manipulate CPU to get Memory up to speed.

Pros: Worked right out of the box no issues at all. Great price with nice speeds and looks perdy in my case. XD

Cons: It wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: I haven't gotten around to overclocking the ram in my computer just yet, I'm stabilizing my CPU and GPU OC and will get around to the ram later. So if your looking for an honest review on how this ram preforms overclocked, I can not be any help yet. If you want an honest review on how solid this ram is, 10/10

Pros: Not a DOA pack.... LOL. It is solid. No issues what so ever. Windows internal rating for this was a solid 7.9. Which if your trying to build a 7.9 solid system this is nice for price.

Other Thoughts: I know you can use more, but for what I do with online gaming, and internet it works for me, and I liked the fact that having 8gigs of 2133 ram gave me a 7.9 on performance.

Pros: It is a good buy if you plan on overclocking because it has a high frequency.
Good look and low profile.

Cons: Came bowed the first time I got them.
Not compatible with a lot of mobo's for dual channel with this frequency

Other Thoughts: I would have probably given this a 4/5 if I wasn't annoyed with the way they were shipped. It essentially came in a bubble wrap envelope which was clearly torn in places. I assume a large package was sitting on top of the sticks the whole time because one of the was so bowed it was near impossible to fit into the slot. It was clear that it was not going to work so I had to send it back. Now I have to wait it out for more to come and chances are high that it will be handled the same way. I advise everyone to buy the RAM with something else like your GPU or something that will come in a larger box so it doesn't run the risk of being damaged. The amount of money they save on a small box vs. a bubble wrap envelope is so minuscule I am not sure why they take the risk. These are valuable sensitive parts to a computer. Very displeased with the corner cutting.

Glad to hear you like the appearance of the RAM. The low profile heatspreaders allow the high speed RAM to fit under large CPU coolers for overclocking. The high frequency is perfect for overclocking and reaching maximum performance. Not all CPUs can support DDR3-2133, so definitely make sure to get one that can. Some CPUs like AMD require overclocking / additional tweaks to fully stabilize the RAM. Pros: Nice design, easy to install, fast. Got it for a nice price and it does it's job nicely.

Cons: Runs at 1600 mHz instead of the advertised 2133 mhz. 1600 is quite nice... but I am irked that I can't get it to run at 2133.

Other Thoughts: I used this RAM with my first computer build and it is quite nice, certainly much better than what I was using with my laptop. Though... I have not been able to clock it up to 2133 mHz on my GA-F2A88XM-D3H FM2+/FM2 mATX AMD Motherboard's BIOS with a AMD A10-7850K Kaveri 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor AMD Radeon R7 series. (The default settings having running at 1600 mHz at 1.5v.)
My attempts at adjusting the frequency and voltage have been met with the RAM becoming unstable and myself having to revert to the underpowered defaults. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...

If you are having issues reaching the rated specifications, don't worry, the G.Skill support team is available to help. All DDR3 motherboards can only default up to DDR3-1600 max. To enable the high performance values of DDR3-2133, it is up to the user to configure settings in BIOS/EFI or enable the DOCP/XMP profile. With the proper configuration in BIOS, the computer will be fast and reliable. For slight instability problems, raise CPU-NB Voltage and that can solve most issues at high speeds.
