5 out of 5 eggsAs always, G Skill rocks.

Pros: Lifetime warranty. Decently priced. Solid performance. Good memory space for only two sticks. Low profile heat sinks aren't that much lower than a ripjaw's, but they are a bit shorter and slightly cleaner looking.

Cons: I had to install them myself? They don't make me coffee in the morning? Really no cons in this, or any other G Skill sticks.

Other Thoughts: I only write reviews on G Skill memory because they keep being awesome. At times I think we forget how good they are, because we come to expect it. I've used G Skill in just about every computer I've built, and every computer that I've replaced RAM in. I have never gotten a bad stick, nor seen a stick go bad. And even if a stick had gone bad, I would've been able to get a new one free of charge. Awesome stuff is awesome.

1 out of 5 eggsWell..

Pros: Arrived in safe condition in a timely manner

Cons: After installing and booting, I realize that they are only clocking at a mere 1333Mhz, after the title of this product said 2133Mhz.

Other Thoughts: Requested RMA for the correct product.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can help with this issue. All high performance DDR3 modules AUTO default to a lower frequency. This allows the RAM to be used in any DDR3 computer. In order to operate at a higher speed, it is necessary to enable the XMP/DOCP profile, or manually input settings for the RAM. With a supported motherboard and CPU, you should have no problem at all. With DRAM, the highest frequency depends on the CPU and motherboard's capabilities, though the RAM can be used at any speed in between. In other words, if the CPU only supports DDR3-1600, you can set the RAM to DDR3-1600 and it should work fine. For any assistance or questions, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsStable at DDR3-1866 1.5V

Pros: These run fine at 1.5V if you back them down to DDR3-1866. I bought two sets of these for a total of 32GB and am running them at 1866/10-11-10-30-2N and 1.500V.

Why you ask? Because this set can often be found for significantly cheaper than the sticks that are spec'd for 1866.

There are a couple of G.Skill moderators that give real-life answers to your questions in their forums. You have timings questions? They have answers. It's a breath of fresh air in an otherwise canned-response world.

Cons: Did not come with a free haircut.

Other Thoughts: The last 4 times I've purchased memory, it has been G.Skill branded, and I've not been disappointed yet. Ripjaw and Ares are great products.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Mem

Pros: 2133 Mgz
16 GB
It will overclock higher
Will run 5 of my most demanding games at the same time with little lag
Definitely an upgrade over my 4 Gb 1333 CL9!!

Cons: not Cl 9 but i don't notice at the price i got this for

Other Thoughts: I overclocked to 2300+ Mgz for 10 min for giggles and it seemed stable
By the time you need this much ram 2133 will seem very very slow
My mobo only supports 1866 officially i was surprised it stayed stable after a stress test

5 out of 5 eggs32 Gbs

Pros: High performance memory for a compelling price (Shell Shocker the day I bought it and sold out the same day. G-skill memory; I'm liking me some G-skill.

Cons: For what I paid, none.

Other Thoughts: Updated bios in Asrock z77 extreme 4 to 2.90 prior to install, changed dram timing setting in bios, voila. Been using G-skill memory exclusively since 2007 (checked my order history to make sure) and NEVER have had a single solitary issue. And this install was four 8 Gb modules all at once.

5 out of 5 eggsGood value for the price

Pros: works as 2133 MHz memory simply by enabling XMP Profile 1 in the bios on an AsRock Z87 Extreme6 board. The heat spreaders are also low enough not to interfere with the CM Hyper 212+ heat sink. No errors or anything negative to report so far. And got them for a $100.

Cons: its not 2400 MHz memory

Other Thoughts: I replaced 4x4 G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600 modules. took those 4 modules and put them into my HTPC upgrading it from 8 Gg DDR3 1333 Mhz memory to 16 Gb.

5 out of 5 eggsCheetah Speeds 16b for the price of 8gb

Pros: *Cheap did I say cheap

*More ram for Ramdisks

*Matches and is compatible with RipSaw Blue Cl 10-12-12-31's at a full 2133mhz stable.

Cons: *Did not boot with Ripsaws at first boot but no problems when configured correctly

Other Thoughts: For anyone that has issues booting or getting into bios setting in Windows 7 and up here is what I did to get it to work

*Remove the previous memory modules and only put in the Ares 16gb into the mobo.

*Boot into bios, set the xmp prolfile to 1 and set the timing for channel 1 memory to match sticker on memory, save changes, reset check system for 16 gb is showing. If all is good shutdown then insert the Ripsaw memory 8gb boot into bios set setting for Ripsaws to match then reboot and that is how I got mine to run at 2133mhz Stable

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: I put these sticks into my brand new Asus Maximus VII Hero, switched to XMP profile in the BIOS for 2133 easily. Running stable. No big heatsinks on top. They look even cooler in person than in the picture, and they have a good solid feel to them. The blue memory on my red motherboard is a cool contrast.

Cons: none here

Other Thoughts: No complaints, I now see why G.Skill is rated so well here.
