5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: The price is good for 16GB. I did pay $75 and they are now about $70.
I noticed the increase in power running graphic type programs.

Cons: None at this point.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: Got these 16 2x8 gig pair for 62.00 and free shipping. cant beat that. Sure better the my old kingston 1333 2x4 sticks. Set the CL in my gigabyte mobo to the settings these came with 2133- 10-12-12-31 and whola. System now see 2142mHZ speed. WHich I will have to check as gigabyte 990 FX UD3-R5 v1.0 booklet says it only goes to 1866 (2000oc). so I figured why not get 2133 and i would probably get downgraded a bit in speed. Doesnt seem to be the case so maybe the gigabyte MOBO sees the extra RAM speed ok.

Cons: None. Other then maybe adding some instructions for non tech savvy users to get the speed they MUST change thier BIOS settings to the CL and MHZ speed. Just a thought.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet spot of memory performance and cost

Pros: going from 1866 memory to these, as well as going from *g to 16G, actually made a noticeable difference in benchmarking 3d programs! my motherboard is five or six years old, but thanks to these....
Exact same color and brand(Gskill)as was in my old build.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133

Pros: Works perfectly. Good company reputation.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from 8GB 1600 (4x2) to these modules because I wanted to have more headroom when using the Rapid Mode feature in my new Samsung 500GB SSD. Running great, big improvement in my system. Running Haswell 4570 on a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H Mb. One minor thing was I found I had to boot with a single module at first to let the BIOS reconfigure then installed the second module.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, easy, great.

Pros: -Very easy to install and setting it to run at 2133MHz was no problem through the BIOS.

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: It used to be so that when it came to fast RAM, the fastest RAM wasn't worth the price premium. However, I was able to get this kit for the same price if not cheaper than an 1866 or 1600 MHz kit. My previous kit was 1600MHz and this is a slight increase in performance for gaming.
So in short, I highly recommend this kit if you don't pay a premium over slower kits.

4 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL Ripjaws X Series

Pros: Once my computer recognized both cards instead of one, it ran great!

Cons: When I installed them, my PC was only recognizing one. I tried to solve the problem, but I'm not very computer savvy, so I had to take It to my local computer shop who had to get into the boot menu and mess around to make work.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if it was the RAM's fault or my motherboard's fault, but either way, there's a world of difference now that both are working.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Sean

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you were able to get the RAM working properly. When installing RAM, always make sure the modules are firmly inserted. If not, it is possible for physical damage to occur. It does not hurt to uninstall and re-install RAM, so feel free to try multiple times until you are certain they are fully latched in. With most motherboards, you should hear two simultaneous clicks when installed properly. If not, check to see if there are any particles or such in the memory slots, clean them out and try again. Once the RAM is ready to go, the full capacity should be detected. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: Installed easy
OK price

Cons: Thought it would be a little faster but not slow by any means

Other Thoughts: I would still buy more. My mobo has 4 slots, so in the future this is likely what I will buy to finish filling it up

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Thomas

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory was easy to install and you got it at a good price. This is a high performance, high capacity memory that can maximize the processing power of your system. With this RAM, the operating system will be capable of anything you put it to without any lag or delays. Since the memory specifications are above standard, make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without doing so, the RAM can only default to standard DDR3-1333 with AUTO settings. Should you need any assistance with set up, please feel free to contact us directly. The G.Skill support team will make sure your computer is operating at maximum performance.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy Camper!

Pros: Posts perfect. Runs as claimed. Stable.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had the time to do better homework before my build with the Mushkin ram that was doa and I had bought this from the start! Nothing like some good ram. ;)

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Affordable for the speed range. Fits right and overclocks to full speed easily. doesn't seem to run hot.

Cons: Lesser known brand, so unsure as to it's longevity and reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: 2133 Mhz with right BIOS settings, both sticks good so far. Works great with my AMD X4-860K, sped things up quite a bit moving from 1600 Mhz sticks, I'd say 15% at the least.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: ASUS 88X-Pro - set D.O.C.P. with one stick in to 2133 Mhz - Configuration setting #2. Shut down, put in second stick in same channel - both booted to 2133 Mhz. The default SPD (profile) profile is 1333 Mhz at initial boot. Read your motherboard manual to set to rated speed and voltage.
