Pros: Plugged in on my new build and everything runs great! No issues at all. Turned up my memory speed to 2400 MHz in BIOS and still works great. This is a major upgrade to my DDR2 667 on my old computer. My computer starts up in 8 seconds!!!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: ASUS MAXIMUS VII Hero
Intel Core i5 4690k 3.5
GSkill 8GB 2400

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks good, cheap, 2400mhz

Cons: Keeps locking my computer/freezing it after 5-10 mins of gameplay running at 2400mhz with my xmp profile on my max. vi hero motherboard. Had to down clock it to 1600mhz. Can't figure it out.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Glad to hear you like the appearance of the RAM and got it for a good price. This is a high performance memory kit that should perform extremely well in your system. With a capable CPU, you should have no problem reaching DDR3-2400. If you experience instability, test one module at a time to see if one performs differently. Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard. The modules should be installed in the same color slots furthest away from the CPU. Should problems persist, contact the G.Skill support team directly and we will make sure your system is running fast and smooth.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: -Fast, easy XMP with Z97 chipset.
-Handles all of my 6 virtual desktops w/ease never glitchy once, while installing packages, and handling all sorts of other tasks and responsive in under a second.
-No problems installing

Cons: -Not a big deal, but if I would've had another chance I would have saved my money and get with with a lower Cas Latency, but it's no issue at all in performance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat overclocker RAM

Pros: The Ripjaws X were on sale and I picked this version because I liked the overclocked 2400 Mhz memory. When I first installed it, the bios had it at 1600 Mhz but I just used the XMP setting and in one click and a reboot it changed over to 2400 Mhz. It’s tall RAM but it fit even underneath my huge cooler.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My system:

4 out of 5 eggsRipjaw X Series

Pros: Was just getting an upgrade and bought two sets of these.

Cons: Its ram. it works perfectly fine so far. no problems here.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear two sets of this RAM is working well in your system. For future reference, it is best to only use a single kit of RAM in each system. It is possible to encounter matching problems when two separate kits are used. By purchasing a single kit of RAM, you get a perfectly matched set from factory that has been tested and guaranteed. With 16GB of DDR3-2400, your computer should be capable of anything you put it to. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.
