Cons: Exceptionally hot running, requires considerable overclocking, not likely to be stable on most rigs. Performance is not what is expected. Realistically:
0.67ns cycle time per transfer, 8ns latency, 9.33ns RAS, 23.33ns precharge. All in all 8.67ns per non-burst transfer with a 50.66ns maximum trip time- 4.08% worse transfer time than the G.SKILL Trident X F3-2400C9D-8GTXD! And it's 1/10th the price! Proof that Megahertz aren't everything- or anything, in some cases! If they squeezed the timings down even a bit, this would jump forward and truly would be king. But until they (or someone else) does, it's just not worth buying.

Other Thoughts: G.SKILL Trident X F3-2400C9D-8GTXD performs all-around better (0.83ns cycle time per transfer, 7.5ns latency, 9.17ns RAS, 25.83ns precharge, 8.67ns non-burst transfer, 52.5ns max)
It has a 4.08% faster access ime, 0.29% faster AVERAGE time, and 3.5% slower maximum round-trip time than this 3000 MHz monstrosity. It also runs at 1.5v and much cooler, requires considerably less overclocking, and is stable at most any settings, with headroom to still overclock! And again: $110 is a lot better than $1k.

All in all, it may look nice for application-specific benchmark scores that rely solely on sequential burst reads, but in reality, it's not even noticeably any faster or slower. It's just there for bragging rights.
