2 out of 5 eggsProbably good memory if it worked

Pros: Price

Cons: DOA, probably good memory if it was usable. Gskill usually has good memory.

Other Thoughts: Only gave 2 eggs because Newegg is helping correct the issue otherwise it would have been 1.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We will be glad to help with this issue. Most likely the RAM is not defective. This DDR3-1600 CL9 memory kit is only compatible with select few Intel i7 laptops. Most will only accept DDR3-1600 CL11, which is the standard. If your laptop supports DDR3-1600, exchange for the G.Skill F3-1600C11S-4GRSL and you should have no problem. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly. We will make sure an additional 4GB of RAM is working flawlessly in your computer.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good!

Pros: Fast, affordable, high quality ram.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Only issue I had was this ram wouldn't play well with my original 4GB stick of ram that was 1333mhz. Usually it would default the new ram to the slower speed but when I installed both my display wouldn't come on. So I removed the old slower ram and ordered another stick. But other than that it seems to be working great.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great with Intel NUC D34010WYK and Intel NUC D54250WYK kits. The CAS 9 latency is nice for this class of DIMM. Low voltage (1.35v) works great with latest generation Core i5 and Core i7 chips. No issues.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking Great with Intel NUC

Pros: Working in my Intel's NUC D34010WYK running Ubuntu for about a month now. For the price, the specs at the time of purchase was the fastest speeds 9-9-9-28 as opposed to others which are 11-11-11-28 (remember, lower is better for those not sure what these numbers mean).

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cheap memory

Pros: > Inexpensive
> Low latency
> DDR3L (1.35V) so you can use it with ULV processors

Cons: It isn't free?

Other Thoughts: I bought this stick of memory to upgrade my laptop from 4 GB to 8 GB of RAM. The fact that it is low latency probably didn't make a difference since the existing module in my laptop was CAS latency 11 (and I'm too cheap to replace it with another one of these sticks to run dual channel). I popped this stick in and now Windows 8 registers 8 GB. I've used Gskill memory before and they seem like a pretty good company so I don't expect to have any problems.
