5 out of 5 eggsGreat! Yeah - 32 GB of RAM!

This review is from: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB (2 x 16G) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15D-32GRS

Pros: Not a single issue.

Cons: First option available (16 GB DRR4 SO-DIMM), so paid a slight premium.

Other Thoughts: Installed in Intel NUC 6i5syk

5 out of 5 eggsUsing in i5 a Core i5 Skylake NUC

This review is from: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB (2 x 16G) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15D-32GRS

Pros: Installed easily.
You can get a 10-15% break on the price if you subscribe to the Egg's daily e-mails and catch their periodic RAM sales.

Cons: The 2-stick pac was a little more expensive than purchasing each stick individually. The product code was identical to the single stick so I am not sure there was any advantage in the 2-pack.

Other Thoughts: Works great in a NUC6i5SYH, but is not really necessary unless you have a use case for the extra 16 Gb RAM. Am using part of the RAM as a RAM disk for browser cache and WinTV PVR timeshifting files to reduce writes on the SSD. Extra RAM is also useful for VMWare VM's.

5 out of 5 eggsWork great in my Intel NUC6i5SYH.

This review is from: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB (2 x 16G) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15D-32GRS

Pros: Easy install, functions as expected.

Cons: Not cheap.

Other Thoughts: Seem to be fine for use in the new Skylake-based NUCs (given my sample size of one NUC)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks just fine in MSI GT72-019 Skylake

This review is from: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB (2 x 16G) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15D-32GRS

Pros: It works! I went through several other brands and all of them caused no boot when installed in my MSI GT72-019. I was beginning to think it was the laptop but G.Skill came to the rescue and released their DDR4 memory.

It does take longer than I would like on boot for the BIOS to run through it's thing and begin the OS load. I believe this is something in the MSI BIOS (either a setting I am missing or a bug) and not related to the memory though.

Cons: None. It worked, runs as expected and the price is appropriate.

Other Thoughts: I have run G.Skill in many of my previous laptops and many other company laptops, my personal desktops and family/friends laptops and desktops. I have never had a single failure. I'll continue to buy G.Skill.

I would have bought them before the other brands but at the time they had yet to release DDR4 260-Pin memory. Glad they came along when they did otherwise I may have RMA-ed my laptop for no reason.
