The 16 GB Flash Voyager features Corsair's proprietary all-rubber housing boasting unheard-of durability. In many third party reviews, the Flash Voyager has been shown laundered, baked, frozen, boiled, dropped, even run over by an SUV, and it continues to work!

We obviously don't recommend you subject your Voyager to such abuse, but it's good to know that it's up to the challenge of living at the bottom of your briefcase, purse, or desk drawer! The Flash Voyager USB 2.0 drive is stylish, compact, and reliable, so you know you can trust it with your MP3s, digital images, presentations and other critical data.

Fully Plug and Play with most operating systems and backward-compatible with USB 1.1.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Price, Good USB

Pros: Great product, good bang for my buck.

Cons: you could really easily lose the top for it, i always wind up holding it in my hand while in use

Other Thoughts: id say get it!

1 out of 5 eggsNot working

Pros: Bought it about 6 weeks ago, had a $5.00 rebate, received same. Used it perhaps twice, worked slowly but no complaint. I happen to admire CORSAIR, presently using two of their PSUs. REALLY fine units.

Cons: Plugged it into my PC, nada, dead as a doornail. Hmm.

Other Thoughts: Past 30 days, Newegg can't do anything. I no longer have the original packaging. Maybe Corsair can offer something?

4 out of 5 eggsGood drive for carrying around

Pros: Small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket, no issues with transfer speeds or files, rubberized casing has a good "feel" to it, it's pleasant to hold. The cap protecting the USB interface fits snuggly, but is not difficult to remove.

It tolerates drops well, as it is evidently designed to do, which is excellent for me, as gravity never misses an opportunity to humble me.

Cons: I wish the cap had a more permanent "attachement" to the body of the drive, as I worry about losing it, or it falling off. It seems unlikely, but still...

The Key-loop is part of the rubberized body, which is nice, but the edges seem just a little thin to me. I'm worried the rubber may break down and the loop will break before too long. Time will tell.

And as always, most of my problems with flash memory has been random failure and corruption, and I haven't owned this drive quite long enough to feel completely comfortable regarding it's long term reliability. But hopefully the flash memory inside is as well made as the case.

5 out of 5 eggsSpeedy and Efficient

Pros: I really gave this little drive a workout within the first several days, transferring large files, loading and deleting, formatting... and I was happy through it all.

Cons: None. Even the softer, rubbery feel is a welcome change to all the metal/plastic thumb drives I have.

Other Thoughts: I recently read a review of another flash drive where the customer complained that his drive couldn't handle large files... I don't think that was the fault of the drive (probably in FAT32). It just needs to be formatted NTFS to handle files in excess of 4gigs...

1 out of 5 eggsNewer drives not built to the same standard

Pros: Affordable
Normally a reliable company

Cons: 1/3 the speed of older same model drive.

Other Thoughts: Both formated with fat32...
Late 2011 Model, with corsair.com print on back...18-20 MB per second.

Recent 2012 Model, with www.corsairmemory.com printed on back 6 MB per second.

4 out of 5 eggsNeat, tough, works fine.

Pros: Armored. Works fine.

Cons: Cap comes off.

Other Thoughts: I am unsure that an armored, capless flash drive is practical. If it is available, I will pay a bit extra to buy it... in the mean time, this worked well and the price was reasonable.

4 out of 5 eggsCost Effective Solution

Pros: Great price point; plenty of storage; solid construction

Cons: Not top tier read/write performance by any means. Nowhere close to Voyager GT for those thinking the two might be similar.

Other Thoughts: Still a great buy!

1 out of 5 eggsFlimsy Build Quality

Pros: Good read/write speeds for large files... terrible read/write speeds for small files... typical for this size and format.

Cons: The circuit board disconnected from rubber housing after removing from the flash drive from a USB port. After replacing the housing and reinserting the USB drive, the plug itself separated from the rest of the module. Thankfully, I have the data backed up on another source.

The USB drive comes with a 10-year warranty, but you have to pay for return shipping (which is more than the cost of a new drive from a competitor). No, thank you!

Other Thoughts: I cannot trust Corsair with my data anymore. I will take my business to a more reliable manufacturer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry to hear that the drive fell apart. Please contact our Customer Service department at 888-22204643, and we'll see what we can do for you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support
