5 out of 5 eggs5 years counting

Pros: Durable! This thing has been tossed around multiple houses, different bags, switched hands and used for many classes over the past 5 years and it still as solid as ever!

Cons: Size, but well worth the durability! Besides, with how much I wash USB drives, the larger case keeps me from throwing it in with the laundry.

Other Thoughts: Stickers fell off pretty quickly, but I didn't by the drive for the cosmetic features anyhow.

4 out of 5 eggsTough flash drive

Pros: Rugged, just like the name implies.

O-ring sealed, sturdy aluminum tube housing.

Reasonably fast I/O access.

Blue activity LED.

Cons: Expensive for only 4GB of storage.

Rather large for the amount of storage.

Other Thoughts: This drive is still in use 4 years later, although rather limited in size by today's standards.

It is still going strong and I never worry about anything stored on this tough little flash drive, it will survive just about any non-intentional abuse one might encounter.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Very well protected, I have dropped it a couple of times and it still works perfectly fine afterward.

Cons: Is kinda big and bulky to be carried around in your pockets.

Other Thoughts: Is a pretty solid USB memory drive, very good for the buck and it's safe if you like to carry around important files, they'd be protected.

5 out of 5 eggsBelieve - best usb thumb drive out there

Pros: Where to begin... there are too many to list but here are the ones that really matter:

It’s nearly impossible to lose
It’s nearly impossible to forget to bring it with you
It’s nearly impossible to destroy
It’s reliable
It’s convenient

Cons: Well, they've been listed elsewhere but INHO their not important:

It isn’t the fastest thumb drive out there (but it’s fast enough and reliability and access is more important anyway)
The end cap is glued on rather than milled into the case (it's still better protection than anything out there).

Other Thoughts: Look, I’ve owned a lot of thumb drives and have used them heavily. I can’t say I use thumb drives the same way as everyone else but I suspect I do. Mine is used for ferrying data from computer to computer (office to home, office to lab, etc.). The most important thing, to me is that I have the drive with me… therefore the drive must be attachable to a key ring and that attachment must be rugged enough to hold up to the hostile environment in a pocket or purse. Most folks don’t leave the house and certainly don’t leave their office without their keys. It is essential that the cap or case for the drive be attached to your keychain, NOT THE DRIVE ITSELF. Do you want to plug your keys into your computer and have to pull your thumb drive out of the computer whenever you step out of your office or step away from the computer you’re using. I certainly don’t. The vast majority of thumb drives attach directly to the key ring. I formally swore by the Lexar sports jumpdrive that also had

4 out of 5 eggsI am a flash drive killer

Pros: Encryption software comes on it (even though I'm pretty sure it's open source freeware anyway!) At any rate, if you lose your drive, your data is punk proof. It is water tight with rubber o-rings and screw on end cap. Aluminum construction is virtually crush proof. The actual drive itself (when removed from the protective canister) is well built and should last years. Fast transfer rates.

Cons: I have had this one about 4 months and just noticed today that the hole in the end cap that attaches to my key ring looks a little bent and is wearing thin. I expect it will be broken through within another month at the rate it's going! The good part (if you are optimistic) is that both ends of the canister have an eye hole for the key ring, so I'll just switch ends before it totally breaks and get another few months out of it actually being attached to my keys. I just don't like the weight of my keys to be on the end of the drive when it's inserted in a USB port acting like a lever, torquing on the port! So actually it is a bit annoying that this is the alternative if I switch eye holes.

Other Thoughts: Well in the last year I have destroyed at least a dozen key ring flash drives. The thought is great for this type of durable flash drive. Anyone like me that carries them on a keyring and uses multiple times daily can relate. I have yet to find one that can survive the day in, day out beating I dish out; especially the actual key ring attachment part. This design would be perfect if the hole for key ring was just a little bit thicker, it just wore through too fast for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Choice!

Pros: Super Durable! Good price. A USB extension cord was included. This was very thoughtful as the cylindrical case may not work well with thin laptops that have horizontal ports or desktops with tight spacing between ports. Kudos to Corsair for delighting the customer with forward-thinking engineering.

Cons: Throwing it in anger will yield no results.

Other Thoughts: Perfect for my middle schooler brother who drags this around in his backpack that gets banged, dragged, dropped & generally abused.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy these drives!!

Pros: Very rugged; You could probably run it over with a tank, and still be able to use it!! Transfer rate is on par w/similar products from other manufacturers.

Cons: The lanyard (actually a thin chain), although "spiffy" looking (what with the cute, shiny dog tag and all) didn't stand up to the rigors of my use (it broke after 6 days). I'm in IT, so I carry mine around my neck all day @ work. My fiance doesn't have the same problem with hers, because she keeps hers in her purse. Rumor has it that I might be able to get a different, more traditional (read rugged) lanyard from Corsair, so I'm gonna' email them ...

Other Thoughts: I bought three of these drives all at the same time; a 4 GB one for our friend's son (as a small HS graduation gift), an 8GB one for my fiance, and a 16GB one for myself. Combined with speedy and free NewEgg shipping, and rebates from Corsair, made purchasing these drives a no lose situation...
I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY THESE DRIVES AGAIN!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality!!

Pros: Awesome Thumb Drive, great storage, VERY rugged. Bought one for my rents cuz they have the dumb sometimes and get things lodged in their... pants. So luckily this is big enough to where they wont lose it :)

Cons: none that I can see!

Other Thoughts: There are cheaper solutions out there for thumb drives of the same size, but knowing that this thing can take the beating it says it can means alot for entrusting the longevity of your data storage.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid as a rock

Cons: Big as a boulder

Other Thoughts: It does what it was designed to do: make your data survive. It's kind of huge, and blocks a USB port, but that's what the little extension cable is for. The version of Truecrypt that ships on it is a nice perk, but it's outdated (version 4.3, current version is 6.x)
