1 out of 5 eggsCorssair Support is non Existant!

Pros: Great while it worked (approximately 3 months)

Cons: Despite contacting Corsair support numerous times, getting a problem ticket, etc. I have not had ANY response back from the company. Will never buy another Corsair product again.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Tech support Shame on Corsair

Pros: Fast whole it lasted.

Cons: Poor support - Promises of Trim support - 10 Mths later still no trim support. No firmware updates - nadda. Was using in Dell E series Laptop and it just died with absolutely no disk activity, no applications open, just screen saver running on windows 7. Drive was used for regular office/word processing. No heavy or extended i/o. This drive just died for absolutely no good reason. Prima Donna Drive. submitted for an RMA and days have gone by with absolutely no response from Corsair.

Other Thoughts: I've had multiple SSD's die on me OCZ original Gen 1 Core series
But OCZ's prompt RMA service and Knowledgable (and PROMPT) forum support staff made the return process quick and painless and they took full accountability for the drives short comings. I personally will never buy a corsair ssd drive again. I'm now going to be on my 4th OCZ ssd. From now on OCZ for me!

Manufacturer Response:

We have had TRIM support for this drive available for a couple of months now. If you have issues with it, please visit our forum or contact Tech Support for assistance. As for the drive failure, we are sorry this occurred and will happily replace it for you. Please see the links below.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Used a pair of these SSD drives in a raid-0 array for an Intel critical app server; very, very fast and dependable - they cut access time on app calculations by as much as 60%. No problems have surfaced at all - they run 24 hours a day - no noise, no heat and have low current requirement.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Just ordered two more to use in a backup mirror server.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this drive

Pros: There are no pros

Cons: This drive is junk. Buy the normal Corsair, non-extreme series. It works perfectly.
I could give you a long explanation of how I bought this drive, returned it to Corsair. They admitted problems and changed it for their normal SSD which works perfectly.

Other Thoughts: I repeat. Do not buy this drive.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 5 weeks - avoid!

Pros: No moving parts

Cons: Less reliable than regular hd

Other Thoughts: Honestly, I didn't see a huge increase in performance. I love the idea os ssd, but for me, I'm staying away until the prices come down (*a lot*) and reliability issues have been solved. For me, this drive died after 5 weeks and this is totally unacceptable. Over on the Corsiar forums, these failure issues are showing up more and more.

Nothing against NewEgg, but if you buy this drive and it dies, the only peace of mind you have is a replacement. You're 100% out the money.

I don't trust my data on these drives, so I advise all to avoid them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD Disc.

Pros: I purchased three of these for my 3 laptops. I have mac 13-3" macBook, a 15" macBook Pro, and a Dell Studio XPS1640. All laptops were very much faster, especially the Dell. No stuttering, it has the Samsung Chip. I can't say enough good things about them.

Cons: I wish the price would go down a little faster.

Other Thoughts: T----ba has just come out with a 512 gb SSD. We're looking at a crossroad in technology.

1 out of 5 eggsone DOA, one dead within 2 days

Pros: Probably very fast.

Cons: I bought two of these to run a RAID0 SQL Server database. The first wouldn't show up in any BIOS I tried it on. DOA. The second loaded up, put the database on it and ran smooth for 2 days. Then suddenly the drive would go offline randomly. After a few reboots, it quit showing up at all. Tried an external enclosure and it was completely undetectable.

Other Thoughts: $1400 spent and zero reliability. I've returned these for a refund and am going with a set of five of the smaller Corsair (64GB) instead.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Supposedly fast and cheaper than the intel SSD

Cons: Corsair much have a bad batch because my drive also died within a couple of days

Other Thoughts: Wait until Corsair fixes this before thinking about purchasing. Otherwise prepare yourself for some headaches

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after 1 week

Pros: It was easy to install in a desktop. However, I did not have a chance to assess its performance.

Cons: It failed after one week. While it worked fine for a week, I did not see any significant improvement in performance over the SATA 0 configuration I had earlier, but I said above, I did not fully assess its performance. There is no chance of a refund.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed Within Hours

Pros: Presumably a fast drive - though I wouldn't know.

Cons: Used Ghost to put an image on the drive, failed with a Write error at 98%. Tried the drive in the system, and it was not recognized in the BIOS. Drive will not initialize via USB either. Completely dead.

Other Thoughts: Can't say I'm particularly pleased at the moment seeing as I have an image of my RAID 0 sitting on my backup drive and my system waiting for my X256. I expect there's no chance for refund, so I'll probably end up spending more money on a competitors drive and hope that they can fix this up sometime and use this for a secondary (or sell it).
