5 out of 5 eggsCorsair Quality

Pros: It is Corsair... solid... as always.

Cons: Nope.

Other Thoughts: I just had to set my timings in the BIOS, but that is normal. Either way, no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsFastest memory

Pros: Works great with my motherboard-Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P
runs at 1866.Scores a 7.9 out 7.9 on windows 7 benchmark.

Cons: which that I would it got 16Gb instead of 8Gb,windows 7 is a hungry beast using 20% of memory on idle.

2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work as advertized

Pros: Ram worked and wasn't doa

Cons: Would not run higher than 1333 in dual channel and would not boot if you tried to use an xmp profile on my ASUS Sabertooth Z77 mobo.

This set is on the motherboard's QVL list and it's pretty unacceptable that it won't run as advertized.

Other Thoughts: 2 eggs because the ram does work, just not at the speeds it should.

2 out of 5 eggs1 of 4 were defective

Pros: Good price. Got these on sale for $50

Cons: Like a lot of the other reviews on here, one of the four sticks were defective. It became defective outside of the RMA period.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could buy just one stick. Maybe us Corsair owners can sell one another the odd stick

5 out of 5 eggsWhen waiting is no longer and issue

Pros: Sleek design, awesome heat spreaders, Corsair quality. Not sure what more you can want from your RAM. Added these to my system along with 2 other Corsair sticks and I can't recall the last time RAM was a factor in any of my PC operations.

Cons: These are just a bit on the pricey side, but if you're a brand loyalist when it comes to Corsair, you're not even looking at that :P

1 out of 5 eggs1 out of 4 defective

Pros: Nice looking, was stable in Win XP 64 OS

Cons: All chips finally tested using Memtest 5.1, chip in slot 3 (12G-16G) has many bad errors, this might explain my daily blue screens since moving to Win 7-64, Win XP-64 was always stable even with this bad chip, perhaps it was not using it.

Other Thoughts: First time I bought memory that was not Kingston, never again.

1 out of 5 eggsBoooooooooooooooo!!!

Pros: none

Cons: One stick came bad. I ordered 16GB which cost around 200 bucks. You would think that for what you pay you are entitled to a working product. Or at least one that wont give you so much trouble. It took me so long to figure out what was going on with this system build I went over the 30 day RMA period and couldn't get me money back. One stick slowly failed after a few weeks. Then gave me errors during windows installation. It took me a long time to figure out what was going on. I tried on different brand boards types an different CPUs and hard drives thinking that there was issues else where. All along was a stick of ram that would boot on any board yet cause software corruption. I really hate you corsair. I think you are really bad people. Do you have any idea how much time you wasted of mine? Ripping apart my computer over and over? Playing the mail game sending parts back and fourth to newegg was hell.

Other Thoughts: Well 3 stick out of 4 isn't bad. But when they go bad it can be hell trying to figure out what was going on. I hate corsair!

1 out of 5 eggsWow... Really...

Pros: they look pretty

Cons: I bought two sets. In less than a year both have failed.

About two months ago I started getting random BSOD. every time the error message was different. Tried trouble shooting everything. even upgraded CPU/mobo. still same problem. DID memtest 3 times, the 3rd time i let it run for 3 days while i was away on vacation. not a single error.

Then one faithful day I got the fabled "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT" BSOD. That could only mean bad memory (as far as i know) Replaced the memory with some cheap junk I had laying around the office (3x 2GB Nanya sticks sourced from Dell Precision work stations) and wala... no more problems.

Other Thoughts: Isolated the bad sticks by doing memtest with 1 stick at a time. 1 bad stick from each of the two sets I bought. Sent both in for advanced RMA. $132 charged to my CC, a week has passed, and Corsair has yet to send anything out to me. That's what I get from trying to buy from an American company :/
