Have it paired with a Gigabyte 990fx ud3 Revision 1.1 board and an FX-8350. The heatsinks look great for sure and have a nice feel to them. Cons: None really other then the size. But just by looking at it you should get an idea of how big it is. Other Thoughts: Had to manually set it to 1600 in my bios but not worth taking an egg off it since it's not really a big deal to me. Just beware if you are looking at after market coolers with this ram, make sure it will fit because it can get in the way of some of them. Got this kit when it was $84.99. As of today $144.99. Impressed with quality of packaging. Cons: No cons for me to speak of. Other Thoughts: Even though this isn't the fastest RAM Corsair has to offer (those would be the Dominator Platinums) it still gives me a 7.8 in Windows Experience Index. It's also more RAM than I'll ever need in the foreseeable future. I wanted to install the RAM and never think about it ever again. All I had to do was set my BIOS to XMP mode and I've been killin' Crysis 3 ever since! Once I set the speed to 1600 MemTest pours out thousands of errors. When I set it back to 1333 there aren't any issues. I've trudged through multiple forum posts on the manufacturers website and enthusiast websites to no avail...no combination of timings or voltages appear to make this work realiably at 1600 with my motherboard. Other Thoughts: I've resigned myself to just stick with these modules at 1333. In reality 1333 vs. 1600 isn't much of a noticeable difference. That said, I'm giving 3 eggs because these should run at rated speed. The description says these are compatible with AMD platforms and although these specific modules aren't listed on my motherboard's compatibiltiy list, the advertised timings and voltage match other compatible modules.
