5 out of 5 eggsCorsair Rocks!

Pros: Installed right away on my ASUS sabertooth mobo. I had already purchased 8 gigs of this RAM so I upgraded to 16 gigs. It read it right away at the 1600 speed. Corsair is the only memory I will buy after my issues with a couple of the other memory manufactures.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Memory, Works as Expected

Pros: After roughly 2 years of ownership, these RAM sticks are still going strong. My motherboard and Windows 7 installation had no issue with regards to detecting the memory upon boot up.

Cons: The little heat sink fins on these memory modules may make them incompatible with certain motherboards or aftermarket heat sinks (especially motherboards where the RAM sockets are very close to the CPU socket). After 2 years of ownership, I seriously believe these fins are for pure aesthetic purposes, and do little with regards to actually dissipating heat from the memory chips.

Other Thoughts: Do your research to determine whether these memory modules will fit in with your build!

I can imagine a lot of negative comments about this product are the result of individuals failing to recognize the height clearance requirements of this product. If you are using an aftermarket cooling solution, you need to make sure that that there is enough clearance between the RAM sockets and the heat sink to support these large memory modules.

I also advise everyone to check their motherboard manufacturer's "qualified vendor list" for supported memory products. It's boring and tedious, I know, but it saves you the frustration and wasted time of accidentally purchasing unsupported memory.

4 out of 5 eggs2 Years+ and Running Strong

Pros: Fast,
Reliable,
Easy to overclock,
High Quality Look and Performance

Cons: Price (it's nearly doubled since I bought mine)

Other Thoughts: I've never had an issue with these on my Gigabyte 990 FXA mobo. I ran these for about 8 months no problem not realizing my motherboard auto set these to 1333Mhz. I had to manually set OC to 1600 Mhz.

Other than that these work great. Not a hardcore user, but I do some mild gaming and video editing.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Memory

Pros: Good memory, which not only runs solid but also looks good to boot. The Black with light gold accents compliments my ASUS Z97-A motherboard quite nicely.

Had an ASUS GTX770 CU2 4GB that I ordered with my new build, and it was causing the system to go black screen and freeze. Spent two days off of work trying to troubleshoot the problem before concluding that it was the GPU causing it, and during that time I was checking everything; including the memory. My initial batch of 2x4GB went through a bunch of stress testing and passed with flying colors, even after over 8 hours of Memtest 86+. Was so impressed, I bought another set to fill out all of my motherboard's DIMM slots.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Also, if you're looking into getting this, realize that while it is rated for 1600, it will not run that fast unless you set it up properly in your BIOS. Check to make sure your motherboard supports OC'd memory up to 1600, then you have to make sure you enable the XMP profile for the memory in your BIOS. This was super simple in the UEFI BIOS on my ASUS Z97-A, but your mileage may vary. Fortunately 1600 is a very mild OC, and I can't think of any decent motherboards that cannot support that. However pre-built machines (HP, Dell, etc.) may not support this, or at least not at 1600 speed (they default to stock 1333 otherwise). Just always be sure to check your motherboard and BIOS for compatibility, and make sure to match CAS latency (this set is rated at 9) if you're going to try and add this to a previously installed set.

5 out of 5 eggsAlways Trust Corsair

Pros: Average speed, nothing really special. The heatsinks look awesome. Was able to overclock to 1866 with no problem.

Cons: One of the dimms died. Not going to knock off an egg cause Corsair replaced it in less than a week without a hitch.
