4 out of 5 eggsWorks as Advertised

Pros: This RAM worked out of the box for an i7-960 build, clocked at 1866MHz via motherboard BIOS.

Cons: It is possible that RAM never gets hot enough to warrent the large heat spreaders. Although impressive to look at, the heat spreaders make it harder to place the RAM in the tight confines of an ATX Tower chassis. I would prefer to have reliable RAM without the "bling"

Other Thoughts: been running one month now, so far so good. no problems at all.. briefly ran it at even higher clock speeds, but no need, and prefer to stay within rating. btw- this machine is ridiculously fast. Make sure to get adequate cooling!

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT

Pros: Installed 2 sets of these in my rig. Using an Asus Sabertooth X58 motherboard. RAM is performing at specified speeds using D.O.C.P. in bios. Couldn't be happier with 24GBs of RAM.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsupdated aged GA-EX58-UD5 v1

Pros: very inexpensive ram for the capacity & speed. Using the XMP profiles, was able to get my system booted with all 3 sticks at listed specs (verified with CPUZ)

I have already notice an increase in performance with my file copies, and loading times with Adobe Photoshop.

Cons: Now what will i do with my triple channel 6gb set????

Other Thoughts: Using the XMP (and running the lastest bios version on my board, i had 0 problems getting the ram to spec out. HOWEVER when loading the XMP profile, i noticed that my "super clocked" i7 920 was clocked down (expected when using the XMP profiles)

with a little retweaking of the board, i was able to get my my i7-920 back to 4.2gz (4cores w/HT) and the ram at the listed DDr3 2000 speed (with the timings 10-10-10-27)

Those that are having problems, i truly wonder if its the lack of skill (i dont try mean that in a negative way). Simply because i have an order generation Motherboard and most users dont have such a high clock on CPU that i have.. i had NO problems getting this ram to run.

as always, feel free to gmail my nickname with questions or comments.

3 out of 5 eggsVengeance 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3 SDRAM 2000 (PC3 16000)

Pros: Pretty fast, decent price and it looks cool too, as long as it's not damaged.

Cons: I ordered two of these sets to get a total of 24GB of ram. All was well but in one of the sets, one of the sticks of ram looks like it has down syndrome compared to the others. Would have been 5 starts otherwise but the thing kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. I have not completed my build yet so maybe I can hide it in back.

Other Thoughts: I know it may just be picky on my part but I am getting a case with a side window for a reason, I want my rig to look good and that bent/unaligned heat sink just looks horrible.
Maybe I'll just get a ram fan to cover it up..

3 out of 5 eggsThis is DDR3-1600

Pros: Fast.

Cons: Not as fast as advertised.

Other Thoughts: Currently have these installed on an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 with an i7 920. The CPU has been running at 4.0ghz (200mhz core clock x 20) for 2 years now, so I know the motherboard can handle overclocking. Unfortunately, these DIMMs would not run stably at 2000-10-10-10-27-2T as advertised (intermittent bluescreens in Windows 7). Had to fall back to 1600-9-9-9-24-1T timings instead. This is still pretty solid memory, but perhaps not deserving of the DDR3-2000 label.

3 out of 5 eggsCore i7 triple channel issues

Pros: Great delivery speed the egg is really good at getting stuff to my door. The memory is fast as the blazes on a motherboard/cpu combo that work with it.

Cons: I previously owned an i7 920 with Intel DX58s0 motherboard. I ordered this kit for that machine, to my dismay the board wouldn't post in any xmp profile and/or with any settings I could get. Made a post on Asktheramguy and called corsair directly, no results worthwhile, the egg wanted to hit me on the restock fee so I did the only sensible thing, I bought a p8p67 pro and core i72600k. This setup while fast and awesome, only allows me to use 2 of the sticks, thus nullifying the real reason for ordering this kit, having speed and quantity. I contacted corsair directly via phone and attempted to use their very lackluster web based support site. I was given the standard we didn't sell it and we cant sell single part memory modules, of course the egg is out of stock on it now so I cant order another kit and ninja a stick.

Other Thoughts: The entire thing put me out of touch with corsair. I am running their h60 watercooler on my brand new i72600k and the quality of their phone support guy, Joseph was great, he seemed really nice, the rma department struggled with my question and really didn't make any attempts to get me on with someone that would like to work with me to make me happier with the situation, that with the fact that the only 16gb kits are much slower. Overall my feelings for Corsair have slightly tarnished, maybe its time for mushkin or some nice speedy and cost efficient ripjaws, not that I think any of these companies really would have helped me with my issue which again was simply satisfaction with the overall purchase and brand loyalty which until today pretty much every machine I run has corsair sticks in it. meh

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram!!

Pros: It's 12 Gb, It's DDR3 2000, and it looks awesome XD It goes great with my green hornet build. have had this Ram for about 6 or 7 months now and it's still running strong. I will be buying another kit of this ram when the price comes down.

Cons: Price could come down a little.

Other Thoughts: Recommended RAM!

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good ...

Pros: 12 GIGS! Yeah baby! I turned off my windows system pagefile for very first time ever - nice feeling.
- Works stable for me so far

Cons: - with the RAM, none
- My BD-ROM drive is malfunctioning since the new ram but not possibly related

Other Thoughts: I just realized when I bought this high performance ram that you need to overclock your machine ( which is easier now than ever with many mainstream motherboards supporting it).

I'll update this after I overclock the sucker

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing....

Pros: ...................... NADA

Cons: After giving it a month or so I'm disappointed with the 2000mhz Vengeance ram. Continuous random blue screen crashes with ram related errors. I suspect one stick is bad, but gave up and went back to my old Corsair Platinum XMS ram. No more problems. I tried all kinds of memory timings and voltages with the Vengeance ram but started seeing one stick missing in the POST memory tests. Trying to get this memory stable at 2000mhz is too much trouble. Especially if one out of the three sticks is going goofy.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could get a refund on this ram... yes Newegg you can delete my post above, this ram has been an epic fail.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry you had this issue. You may simply have a bad module or you may need to change a setting in your BIOS which is required with high performance memory. Please contact our Technical Support and we will assist in tuning the system and with an RMA if necessary.
