5 out of 5 eggsEasy Over Clocking

Pros: It was very simple to use XMP. Has cool looking heat spreaders. The tall heat spreader touches the bottom 1/8th inch of my Cool Master Hyper 212 Evo fan frame, but does not hit fan blades.

Cons: Consider getting the low profile heat spreader if you have a CM Hyper 212 Evo.

Other Thoughts: My MoBo is a Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H

5 out of 5 eggsSexiest Ram Ever

Pros: I purchased this RAM after my originally chose RAM went out of stock in the 2013 Black Friday sale, and i made a good choice.

Apart from being astronomically sexy, this ram is fast and ready to be O.C'd, if that is your game.

If you are going to go with the Asus M5 A97 mobo, get this RAM, I did, and they mingle together perfectly like a Joey in his mom's pouch.

Cons: Right out of the box, this RAM is not set to the correct speed, so you need to manually do it in the BIOS.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pretty standard stuff. Worked well while alive.

Cons: Had random blue screens popping up after about a year of using it. After some troubleshooting, I found that one of the sticks had died and had to toss it. This was the first part to fail out of the system I put together.

Other Thoughts: This part failed quite a few months ago, but I hadn't reviewed anything I had owned yet. 4GB is usually more than enough for the gaming I do, but I've had a few occassions when developing that I've started pushing against the physical memory.

3 out of 5 eggsOwned for 2 years

Pros: They have great memory, run extremely fast

Cons: 1 of them stopped working for me after about 20 months and I didn't know what was wrong, I had blue screening, games wouldn't function and I thought it was a virus which infected my drivers and windows operating system. I realized it was bad when I tested it with one and it worked flawlessly. I wouldn't buy these for the simple fact of them being unreliable and all the work they put me through.

Other Thoughts: They worked for 20 months for me. Many other ram work way longer and are much more reliable. I would choose another brand even reading all of the other reviews about them.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: None.

Cons: Rma for the second time. MAybe one time I'll get ram that actually works.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this ram. Pick another model or brand. At least corsairs rma is easy but they sent me bad ram back anyways...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mem

Pros: Great mem with excellent overclocking ability. This is exactly what I would expect from Corsair.

Cons: I was looking to go from 8 to 16 GB and see that this mem has doubled in price now. I paid just a little over 40$ a year ago for it. I don't understand why it's doubled in price now.

Other Thoughts: I will probably look elsewhere for my upgrade, unless they cut the price back down. 84$ for 40$ mem is a bit high for my taste.
