Cons: I used this as an upgrade for a 2010 15" Macbook Pro. Whenever I ran any intensive program that caused my laptop to get at all warm, the memory would register an overheat and force the computer to shutdown. This RAM clearly does not have the heat tolerances necessary for some apple products.

Pros: Works great with my mid-210 Macbook Pro. Upgraded from 4GB to 8GB. No more beach ball. No more waiting what seemed liked forever for Safari to launch. No more having to ration out my open browser windows and computer programs.

Cons: Can't think of one.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, I had gotten fed up with how slow my macbook was performing over the last 12-18 months that I began considering new computer options. The $65 memory upgrade was almost like getting a new machine. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this purchase.

Also, lightning fast shipping.

Very happy with everything.

Cons: This pair of memory modules do not work for an A1286 Macbook Pro, any configuration.

Cons: It is actually not compatible with Apple MacBook Pro (mid 2009) models.

Other Thoughts: Bought this in 08/12, but didn't try to install it until 12/12, only to find out that most of the times computer would not boot. Contacted Corsair "ramguy" and was told memory was defective (not the modules I had, but all the modules of that series) and it would not work for my Mac Book Pro (model MB986LL/A). They also do not have a replacement for my MBP.
Here's the email from the "ramguy:
"Thanks for the pictures. You do indeed have a 256x16 module but unfortunately they were defective. The issue we have at the moment is that all new memory that share that part number Is 512x8 so if I were to replace it with a new kit of memory for you, it may not be compatible if they are using the new configuration. We are working on a solution to restrict the ICs to 256x16 but I do not have an ETA on when it is available.

Since it is outside of the return period to Newegg, I recommend contacting our customer service at 1-888-222-4346. We can either replace the memory modules for you with one of the newer kits if you have a system to use it, or see what other options they can provide for you. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you as we don’t have a better solution for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions."

So now I'm stuck with a memory I can't use.

Pros: None- DOA

Cons: DOA-Lond turnaround time on replacement. Shipped back more than 2 weeks ago. No news yet.

Other Thoughts: Order 16 GB DDR3 1600 and it worked great. Yet this 8 mg DDR3 10666 would not work. Never allowed computer to boot.

Other Thoughts: Just to be sure I tried them in another machine (a dell actually) that used identical RAM, and the RAM also didn't work there.
