5 out of 5 eggsWorks on MB Pro 2009

This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7

Pros: RAM is mislabeled and doesn't include DDR3-1066 2009 Mac Models. Just installed on my MB Pro 2.66ghz 2009 and writing this review on it. Second purchase - also have this RAM in my same era MacMini.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Slight speed increase right off. For more serious speed, you'll likely want an SSD first. But if you're doing RAM intensive stuff, you'll need this as well. I have Corsair stuff all over - PSUs, Cases, RAM, etc. Good stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in 15" MBP Mid-2010

This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7

Pros: Works.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Just installed in my wife's 15" MacBook Pro Mid-2010. Some older reviews from 2013 said this RAM did not work in their Mid-2010 MacBook Pros so I was a bit nervous about buying it. However, some of the newer reviews from 2014 stated this upgrade worked in 15" Mid-2010 MacBook Pros. Perhaps Corsair has worked out some kinks since 2013.

Regardless, make sure you do your research before you buy. Ensure you are buying RAM with the correct speed supported by your particular MacBook or MacBook Pro. I almost made the mistake of buying the 1333MHz version.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Excellent Corsair Product

This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7

Pros: Excellent and reliable. We install this memory in small form factor units in stressful environments and they take the abuse.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsMacbook Pro Memory Upgrade

This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7

Pros: Works as it should. I made sure that I had the newer firmware MBP51.007E.B06 and newer than Snow Leopard OS X on a Late 2008 MacBook5,1 as demanded to recognize more than 4 GB of RAM to take advantage of this. The memory was recognized immediately and speed as well as application load capacity was increased as expected. The website http://everymac.com/ (no affiliation) should always be consulted first when performing any upgrade of your Mac. That is what told me that this upgrade was possible, even though Apple said it wouldn't work.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as Described

This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7

Pros: Just dropping a quick review to vouch for the quality and ease of installation of this RAM with my Macbook Pro mid-2009 2.53GHz. The install took about 5 minutes with no real difficulties encountered. I bumped up from 4GB and noticed improvements in startup time and system responsiveness with OSX 10.9 Mavericks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Follow the installation instructions, take your time. It's well worth it!

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7

Pros: Fast. Work like wonder on my mid'09 13" macbook pro 2.53

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I put 4 stars since I only use this for less than a year, so don't know about the durability yet
