5 out of 5 eggsReliable

This review is from: CORSAIR ValueSelect 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMV8GX3M2A1333C9

Pros: They still work perfectly after two and a half years of daily use (mainly gaming)

Cons: Only con right know would be price, I got this same model for 40 bucks at the time, and now it's 60.

2 out of 5 eggsHalfway decent package

This review is from: CORSAIR ValueSelect 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMV8GX3M2A1333C9

Pros: One of the two sticks in the package worked.

Cons: The other stick didn't (see below). Sent back to mfr for replacement.

Other Thoughts: I was told AFTER I purchased why Corsair calls this line "ValueSelect" and why it's cheaper: apparently Corsair does zero testing on these modules before they are packaged and sold and shipped. So you are taking a huge risk opting for this line.

Not a huge deal but it would be good to know that before buying. Beware.

Otherwise, sticks run just fine. 2 1/2 stars for the original module that worked only. :)

Pros: -RELIABLE BRAND

-Even though it's only 1333 Mhz, Dual-channel+ the fact that it's Corsair= epic RAM still

Cons: - I would say the fact that it's 1333 Mhz only, but look above at the pros!

This review is from: CORSAIR ValueSelect 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMV8GX3M2A1333C9

Pros: -Cheap!

-It may only be clocked @ 1333 Mhz, but heck, dual channel+the fact that the brand is corsair= still EPIC RAM!!!!

Cons: -None really...

-Maybe the fact that it's clocked at 1333 Mhz, but heck, read my pros, it does not deserve even half an egg down!

Other Thoughts: Had this for about a month and a half now!

Computer Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor

3 out of 5 eggsFailed after 8 months

This review is from: CORSAIR ValueSelect 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMV8GX3M2A1333C9

Pros: Not bad. Fast enough for cheap ram. Compatible with ASRock mobo's.

Cons: Failed within 8 months of use. However, Corsair's RMA process was easy and took about 2 weeks in total to have my replacement ram.
