5 out of 5 eggsGood low profile RAM

Pros: RAM installed easy. Just had to set the speed in the bios from 1333 to 1600. Just loaded XMP profile and it was good to go. Very attractive blue color fit well with my LED lit case. Low profile ensured it fits just fine under my CM 212 Hyper EVO heatsink.

Cons: None. Had to set the timing but was simple enough.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this to anyone looking for good RAM to fit under a large heatsink. This did the job nicely and came in good working order. Just be sure to set the timing in the bios and you're good.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: I bought this low profile RAM to fit under a large aftermarket CPU cooler. After running for about a week I bough another set for a total of 16gb's. Runs great. Only needed a slight bit of BIOS tweaking to get it to run at it's rated speed. It runs rock solid. Fast shipping. Thanks Newegg

3 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: It is RAM

Cons: Had to RMA one set after a couple months. Weird behavior turned out to be memory errors on one stick. That process was pretty painless, but it did cost $5.

Other Thoughts: I know sometimes bad sticks happen but I would be remiss if I didn't report it here.

2 out of 5 eggsVery disappointing

Pros: Nothing, too expensive if you burning money.

Cons: When this ram came out, I was very excited as it was low profile and it was a trusted brand. A couple months later, the first stick died (today) and it made my computer restart, freeze and overall just mess up my computer, I did the corsair paper clip test as I thought it was the PSU (TX-750) but after all the trouble it turned out to be just one bad stick of ram. I own other branded types of ram and have never experienced anything like this. I payed 50 something dollars for this ram and can tell you I'm very bummed out. Will try to RMA, but corsair just keeps disappointing me. I should have gone with another brand instead. This ram is not 1600 but 1333, you have to overclock it your self.

Other Thoughts: I understand this can happen to anyone but come on!!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

It is very common for motherboards to default memory to 1333, although some motherboards will automatically load XMP profiles. If your motherboard doesn't load it automatically, you need to go into your BIOS and load the XMP profile yourself. This should set your memory to the correct speeds. If you have further question feel free to contact our Tech Support and we can walk you through how it works.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

I don't have to trim heat sinks

Does its job well

5 out of 5 eggs
Works great. Inexpensive. Also these don't have enormous heatsinks on them so they're a space-saver.
