1 out of 5 eggsBad QC

Pros: High capacity, reasonably fast

Cons: Died after Newegg's RMA period ended.

Other Thoughts: Corsair should really extend support and customer service hours. Open until 3 p.m. CST? What about people that, you know... work?

1 out of 5 eggsNot Stable

Pros: none because it is not stable

Cons: I have built many systems, confirmed the correct strips on corsair's website and the description is 1.5v here.
No way, this is not stable at 1.5v. Tried many changes and it is blue screen within 5 minutes. Now more than 30 days, wasted $170.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed in about a year

Pros: I installed this 16GB set in July 2012 into an approved mainboard -- the ASUS Maximus V GeneMicro ATX. My system was stable and fast.

...Until about a year later. (See "Cons" below.)

Cons: A module failed in August 2013 after about a year of light use -- no overclocking, no hardware changes, no major system upgrades, nothing since I installed them in July 2012.

Out of nowhere, I started getting a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT blue screen of death between 5 minutes to an hour after startup (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate). I started running memtest, and the primary memory module couldn't even get through that -- the computer froze. I haven't tested the other ones, since I yanked out the primary module (and it's partner) and downgraded to 8GB. My system has been very stable since then.

These have a lifetime warranty, so I'm going to try and act on that. But for now I'm pretty angry to have spent a bundle on allegedly good memory and have it fail in about a year.

Other Thoughts: I'll update this review after I go through the lifetime warranty claim process.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks wonderfully

Pros: Does exactly as advertized. I've owned this RAM for eight months now and have had no issues whatsoever. It's fast. supports dual-channel, and takes up very little actual space. Pain-free installation, virtually plug-n-play.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGreat price for the amount of RAM.

Pros: 16GB of RAM for under $100.00
Good Speed
Corsair Warranty

Cons: After 9 months of frequent use, 1 of the 4 sticks have died. Corsair offers a great warranty though, and had to RMA the stick and got a replacement back within a week.

Other Thoughts: RAM was not overclocked.

2 out of 5 eggsNeeds 16.5V, be careful!

Pros: Reasonable price, stays cool

Cons: Needs 1.65V to run stably, not 1.5V as specified

Other Thoughts: This RAM is very nice, but it does NOT work at 1.5V. If you use a Dell Optiplex 7010 like I do (which only supports 1.5V), then you will have lots of BSODs and other problems.

This RAM requires 1.65V, and it's not the NewEgg website that's wrong - the manufacturer claims it's 1.5V, and it's not. So be careful.

Presumably if you have a motherboard that can support 1.65V, it would be a good purchase.
