5 out of 5 eggsReliable!

Pros: Fast, quick, cool, responsive, reliable, solid.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Not for enthusiasts, great for media, mainstream, and last year max setting gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Good

Pros: It was still available to match my other 6 sticks from my 1366.

Cons: The only con was that the revision 5.1 would be seen as 1333 on an x79 with XMP Profiles 1 & 2. On these (revision 5.2) Profile 1 is only available, which is good, but I just wished they would all show up as 1600 without the XMP

Other Thoughts: My first shipment was delivered via USPS but it was not in my hands. Someone (post man, apartment building office?) took it. Newegg replacement it for me and this enabled me to go from 16 GB (from 24 on an X58) to 32GB.

2 out of 5 eggsCorsair XMS3

Pros: Can get a good price for the RAM capacity and speed. Lifetime warranty for RMA returns.

Cons: Had two different XMS3 sticks go bad on me over the past 8 months, causing computer crashes (usually when computer went into screen saver mode). Was able to diagnose both times using BurnIn Test (read errors), to narrow down to which sticks went bad.

Had to pay postage for RMA returns

Other Thoughts: Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy Corsair memory again until I hear their quality control has significantly improved.

3 out of 5 eggsJust to mention compatibility

Pros: Works with Asus M4A88TD-M/usb3, did have to update Bios.

Cons: Not compatible w/ Gigabyte Motherboard GA-H55M-UDsH v1.0. Upgraded bios to F11, latest as of 4/19/2013

Other Thoughts: Need to play swap my DDR3 around to different computers so I didn't have to return. A little of a headache but at least I don't have to return anything.

1 out of 5 eggsfailure at 3 months

Pros: affordable, spacious RAM

Cons: one stick died within 3 months.

Other Thoughts: I had this installed in a build for my fiancée's mother. The PC began bsod-ing, and rebooted saying OS could not be found. Tracked the issue down to one bad stick that would crash any system it was installed in. I am not happy about that, and I will be sticking with g-skill from here on.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value, watch clocks on older PCs

Pros: -"low profile" heat sync doesn't interfere with huge CPU aircoolers (Even my Zalman CNPS 12x)
-It's fast and stable
-XMS works well in my newer systems (MSI P67/Asus AM3+)
-It runs cool despite the small heat syncs - just warm to the touch, right after shutdown

Cons: -XMS speeds not detected correctly in my older i7 system (x58 board)
-Smaller heatsyncs may not be great with a RAM OC, but works fine @1600

Other Thoughts: I wasn't able to get my MSI Big Bang Xpower (x58) board to set clocks properly by XMS, with the latest BIOS - although if I set timings manually it runs well at 1600 (with a system OC). XMS works fine in my other PCs, so it's a issue with the board, not the memory.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't go wrong with XMS

Pros: * Have used this memory in multiple different configurations of both home built and pre-built machines, have yet to run into a single problem with it

* Fast and reliable

* Competitively priced

Cons: I honestly can't think of any, though I haven't pushed this memory to its absolute limit... so there could feasibly be shortcomings that I'm not aware of when juicing it beyond its specification.

Other Thoughts: Need it to "just work?" This is the memory you want.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The 8 gigs ran well. Made everything fast, increased my fps on graphic intensive games (Skyrim, WoW, Borderlands 2).

Cons: Only con I have was that after 2 months of running these in my tower, I started blue screening. According to the code and attempts to start with 1 stick, I deduced it was a Memory Leak. Not a shipping issue, just one of the faults of mass production.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the Memory Leak issue, I'd recommend Corsair and give good remarks. I intend on buying different ones, as my warranty is up. Until then, my 4 gigs will have to cut it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Pleased

Pros: Attractive memory with low heat spreaders.

Cons: I won't trash Corsair across the line but I have owned two sets of this RAM up to this point with the first being the 1.65 V variant and both are faulty. I did tweak the base clock ever so slightly with the 1.65 in times past but not with the 1.5 V listed here. I've run the memory over 3 platforms with problems across the board. The first system was based on an Asrock P67 Extreme 4 mobo with a 2500K CPU. I began to have problems sporadically at first and attributed them at first to not enough voltage on V Core for a 4.8 Ghz overclock. I purchased the new set here for the 1.5 V rating as Sandy's are notorious for not liking higher voltages and I'd been slightly undervolting the 1.65 up to that time. I introduced this RAM with the older RAM and took out the G.Skill Sniper 1600 I had also been running. I began to have major problems with BSOD's shortly thereafter. Segue to the second problem. I introduced both versions of the Corsair to an AMD system running a Biostar A870U3 with similar trouble. The 1.5V would run with weird errors but not totally crash the system. I put the G.Skill back in both platforms for comparison and no problems with either. The last platform used was an Asrock Z77 Pro 4 mobo with a 3570K overclocked to 4.5 Ghz. The issues there mirrored the P67 troubles described earlier. I'm now running Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 2133 RAM on the Z77 with no issues.

Other Thoughts: I have a Corsair TX 650 power supply that works well and a Corsair A70 CPU cooler that I have been well pleased with on my system. I'm sure with the ratings on other memory that this is likely limited to these particular series of sticks. That said, I've never had a stick of memory go bad on me before this. I think I'll look at other manufacturers in the future when shopping for memory.
