1 out of 5 eggsNot Reliable. Don't buy a product just because of the brand.

Pros: USB 3.0 Write/Read Speed

Cons: Stopped being read by computers after 2 months of use. Bought another drive to use, then one day tried this one again. It worked fine for about a week, then stopped being able to be read again. Looks like it just cuts out every once in awhile, dumping all the data in the process. Not good attributes for a thumb drive.

Other Thoughts: This was made right when USB 3.0 came out. I figured the newest drives wouldn't be reliable, but figured Corsair was a good company so it should be fine. I wouldn't buy this product from them.

2 out of 5 eggsWeak solder points nullify durable casing

Pros: -Water proof.

-Trusted brand

Cons: As others have reported, the termination is VERY weak.
I've had two of these, and both of them suffered the same fate: ultimately, the solder points on the board break under constant upward/downward pressure. This would be fine, if you could just take it apart and re-solder it, but the casing doesn't allow for that; You have to cut off the (very durable) rubber housing to get to the circuit board, thus ruining its' durability and water resistance.

Other Thoughts: It is note-worthy, that I used these devices, primarily on laptops. If you are only going to use it on a desktop with no risk of bending the plug, you may have no problem whatsoever. As for me, I have a two strike policy. If any of my hardware breaks and is replaced by another that suffers the same failure, it's got to go. My first one bent and the end completely broke off, and the second one, exhibited symptoms of broken pins within months, and completely stopped mounting shortly thereafter. I hate to write bad reviews. Especially for one of my favorite companies. Corsair, has always proven itself to me as a company that puts out great products. Unfortunately, they came up short with this one.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked for almost 3 months

Pros: Looks good, rubber cap doesn't slide off easily (hard to lose), Cheap

Cons: Evidently is cheap. Lasted for almost 3 months before being unable to format, and showing no media on the drive.

Other Thoughts: I wish it would have lasted longer

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Idea

Pros: It worked in the beginning

Cons: The rubber covering does not encase a hard shell, it is the ONLY shell. I guess at some point my drive got bent a little too far and the pins for the connector to the board were severed and so it is now useless.

Other Thoughts: Note to self - Do not buy soft squishy things

2 out of 5 eggsHad high hopes but...

Pros: Like the rubber housing. Overall physically seemed pretty well built.

Cons: Died after a month. Not recognized 99% of time in MacOS X, Linux or Windows. On the rare occasion it was recognized it was "unreadable" and wouldn't make it through a re-format without an I/O error. Can't trust it. Very disappointed.

1 out of 5 eggsNot as tough as it seems

Pros: Water tight, fast!

Cons: I hate having to write a review like this. I had bought a first generation Corsair flash drive which I've had for years and still works wonderfully! I needed another for school and decided to continue my support for this brand. Here is the problem, the termination bends under slight pressure. Anyone who has bent a paper clip in the same location repeatedly knows that this will break and I will lose access to my data. My first Corsair drive doesn't do this. This is marketed as a rugged drive and fails to live up to its claim!

Other Thoughts: I really hope that I got one of the rare drives that has this problem. I checked the other negative reviews and didn't see this mentioned. I will give Corsair another chance, hopefully I won't be disappointed!

5 out of 5 eggsRugged

Pros: I love this rugged little drive, I have thrown it off my 2 story house, threw it down my stairs, and left it out in the rain. It is not only rugged but it is much faster than traditional USB flash devices.

Cons: None yet!

Other Thoughts: They should provide a Corsair Lanyard or something that it hooks on to.

2 out of 5 eggsSporadically disconnects

Pros: Was fast while it worked.

Cons: Sporadically disconnects in the middle of file transfers. Currently attempting an RMA, we'll see if this is a fluke.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast

Pros: USB 3 Ready

Cons: Haven't found any

Other Thoughts: I couldn't resist the price (with the rebate) this baby is fast compared to my old 1 gig. Makes short work of large files. Loaded up video and pictures. Then plugged into my Sony Google TV. Worked like a charm. I haven't had a bad Corsair product yet. That's why I keep buying their products. Thanks Newegg for stocking a great product. This baby is fast!
