5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for Dell XPS15z L502x (i7-2630M, Win7Pro 64-bit)

Pros: - Bought these on shell shocker day with rebate
- Runs great on Dell XPS15z L502x and MB470LL/A Macbook Pro (Late 2008, C2D P8600)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Memory tests ran through 100%.

Although per description that memory is specifically for Apple products, if the machine takes DDR3, the cpu/chipset accepts ram over 4gb, and the price is right, go for it.

Installation was painless. Flip the laptop over, unscrew a few screws, replace the existing modules, good to go.

1 out of 5 eggsMemory did not work

Pros: Sped up the iMac substantially for however long it would run.

Cons: Consistently after a few hours the computer would freeze and beep loudly three times. I reseated the memory and the same thing kept happening every couple of hours or so.

Other Thoughts: I have often used Corsair in the past and this is my first negative experience. I returned the memory and will try another brand. For what it's worth, the memory that came with the iMac is Hynix.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're sorry to hear about your experience with our memory kit. Please fill out a RMA request on our Support page and we'll be more than happy to replace the memory kit for you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does what it's supposed to, super fast with quad core running adobe suite. Great deal, got memory for only $30 after rebate. Why pay $400 to have factory install, it took 10 mins to do.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsSuper cheap alternative

Pros: Super cheap alternative to apple store memory. Other than one of the cards coming DOA, it was great. Corsair replaced it relatively quick as well.

Cons: Nothing

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair 2x4Gb Mac Memory

Pros: Great price, fast shipping, easy installation, great performance.

Cons: None, not a one.

Other Thoughts: I purchased a pair of Corsair 4Gb Ram cards ($41.99) for my early 2011 MacBook Pro on a Sunday evening, received them today, installed them in minutes using the instructions from Apple http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270 and am completely satisfied.

Great price, great product, fast shipping, easy installation... what more could I ask for?

Thanks newegg. You're a good egg!

5 out of 5 eggsEasy install and flawless performance!

Pros: I bought this for my daughter's 21.5" iMac (which she bought on July 28, 2011) and she tells me she noticed a big difference in her computer's speed! I had her keep the original memory, so she now has the two 2GB sticks that came with the machine, plus the two 4GB Corsair sticks from this review).

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Even though I am a computer professional, I intentionally chose the lowest "Tech Knowledge" for this review since my 18 year old daughter ended up doing the install herself. (She's away at college in a different state) And even though she's never even looked inside a computer it took her "about 5 minutes" from start to finish to install the two sticks, and another "couple of minutes" to verify that the machine was seeing all 12 GB's! I'm VERY happy!

The Product Name on the Apple invoice is 21.5"/2.5QC/2X2GB/500GB/6750M-USA and the Product Number is MC309LL/A.

5 out of 5 eggsReal good purchase

Pros: Bought this for my early 2011 13" macbook pro. My mbp loves it and I do too. No freezes and best of all lots of space to run just about everything at once.

Cons: Waited about 2 month's and they never went on sale
