1 out of 5 eggsManufacturer Doesn't Honor Warranty

Pros: Good memory. Worked in my macbook pro. 16GB is good for multiple virtual machines and lots of recording buffers.

Cons: Memory went bad, labels fell off but i sent them in for RMA anyway. Manufacturer says the warranty is void but it does not say that on the labels. I included the labels with the package but they won't honor the warranty.

Other Thoughts: If you don't typically use warranty / RMA services, then this is probably a good buy.

4 out of 5 eggsDell M4600 Laptop Upgrade

Pros: System had 2, 4gb Samsung DDR3 1333 for a total of 8 GB. Installed the Corsair, Booted right up, said new memory found. Running great on 24 GB now. Probably buy 2 more later.

Cons: None at this time. been running a couple of weeks.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal failure of one of the RAM sticks after 8 months of use

Pros: Seemed to work while it lasted, although looking back I recall intermittent video freezes (movies, youtube, etc.). I should have known something was amiss...

Cons: I should like to think that the average functional lifespan of a RAM stick far exceeds a mere 8 months.

Other Thoughts: Just 8 months after installation I end up with memory management BSODs (Windows 8 Pro) and thousands of errors on memtest86+. Slot-swapping the memory sticks prove that one of them had become completely unusable.

Removed one stick and the computer failed to boot with the remaining one. Removed the other stick and inserted the first stick into the same slot from which the presumably bad stick was removed and it works like charm- that other stick is clearly broken.

Wonder if Corsair has a lifetime warranty for these memory sticks and what kind of process I would have to go through to claim it...

1 out of 5 eggsMemory fails

Pros: Worked well for 6 months and it was rather nice having a full 16GB memory.

Cons: Fails memtest after using for over 6 months, and of course it's no longer eligible for return!

Other Thoughts: Also, I believe the increased memory amount may come at the sacrifice of battery life. Though, that is not a fault of this manufacturer per se, it is something to consider about buying this much memory.

1 out of 5 eggsAlso had issues with this product

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Didn't work despite passing memory tests

Other Thoughts: We had a Dell M6600 that came with (2) 4GB sticks. We upgraded to (2) 8's since we were running SolidWorks on the machine. Worked fine for about 6 weeks then started taking forever to load drawings. Memtest found nothing wrong, Dell built in diagnostics found nothing. Dell's online diagnostics failed it on Advanced Pattern but couldn't identify which stick failed. Tested each individually, both passed! Had a spare so I swapped and tested each individually all passed. In the end we had to buy (2) new sticks from Dell(made by Samsung) and now Solidworks loads drawings normally again. So one of the 3 sticks(at least one) is bad but impossible to tell which.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy for MacBook Pro

Pros: On a MacBook Pro, nothing positive.

Cons: In spite of Memtest reporting a "pass" on all tests (multiple times), this RAM would freeze my client's MacBook Pro at least twice a day. Finally discovered that he bought this instead of RAM that was designed for Macs. There is a difference. Managed to mitigate the issue a bit by installing SMC Fan Control to keep the temps -way- down but, as my client is a musician, the fan noise doesn't let him record. So the 16GB came out and will be used for a PC (which can live with marginal RAM).

Other Thoughts: Mac users should stay clear of these modules.

4 out of 5 eggsthey work

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: looks cheap

Other Thoughts: These were purchased for an ITX build which used laptop ram. I am very happy with my purchase but I think a 'value' product ought to look valuable.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Memory

Pros: It worked after I installed it

Cons: I started having blue screen issues (system crashes) with my laptop and start up issues.

Other Thoughts: I will check out their warranty to see if Corsair stand behind their product.
