I'm running an 8 gig stick in an MSI 870S-G46 AM3 AMD 870 mobo with a quad core proc. What can I say? It was instantly recognized and I've seen no problem. Best machine I have built in a decade, as all devices are recognized by Win 7. But that is the mobo, not the memory. But the memory does the job.
