Step Up To Solid-State Speed with Force Series 3

One of the best PC performance investments you can make.

You'll be amazed at the improvement over traditional hard drive access times the first time you turn on your computer, and for virtually everything you do with your PC. System startup, game and application load times, file loading, data transfers, and even shutdown times are all faster.

Your system will be more responsive, and you'll be more productive.

Add up all the time you spend all day waiting for your computer — starting up, loading game levels, saving large files and documents, and just moving data around — and it can be significant.

Using a PC can be a lot more enjoyable when it's not always making you wait.

The power of SATA 3 6Gb/second performance

The SATA 3 connection on the Force Series 3 offers up to 6Gb/s speed vs. SATA 2 drives that top out at 3Gb/s.

Great for the latest high-performance PCs.

There's fast, and then there's fast. Force Series 3 SSDs have even quicker read and write times when they're installed in PCs that use the latest SATA 3 interface.

Compatible with SATA 2 3Gb/s.

Haven't yet moved to SATA 3? Like all Corsair components, Force Series 3 SSDs are designed to last through several system upgrades. Adding a Force Series 3 today means that you'll still get incredible storage performance now, and your SSD will be ready for your next upgrade.

Force Series 3: Get more for less.

Choosing a Force Series 3 SSD helps your computing budget go farther. Powered by the SandForce SF-2200 controller, they deliver outstanding SATA 3 6Gb/s performance, with prices that are comparable to lower-performance SATA 2 3Gb/s solid-state drives.

Corsair SSDs: Designed for Performance and Durability

Corsair SSDs are 2.5" wide, the same size as notebook hard drives. An adapter is included for mounting in standard desktop PC 3.5" drive bays.

TRIM Support

Force Series 3 SSDs feature support for the Windows® 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.

Reliability

Because SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives. That's important for desktop PCs, and essential for notebooks.

Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption

Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.

3.5" adapter

The 2.5" form factor allows for installation in most notebook PCs with no adapter required. If you're adding a Force Series 3 SSD to your desktop PC, use the included 3.5" adapter to mount it in any standard hard drive bay.

1 out of 5 eggsSpeeds Not as advertized

Pros: Corsair SSD low energy saves you $. Ladies love it.
not bad on price

Cons: Speeds aren't as advertized crystaldisk mark 156.9 - Write 105.7
ATTO = 330- Write 360- Read

Other Thoughts: Updated the firmware on the SSD, updated MOBO bios, changed Sata wires, made sure in Bios its set to AHCI. I mean CMON all that stoff and its still slow. ok so you buy a new Ferrari but instead of a V12 its a V6 wouldn't you be T.O.'d? instead of going 550+ its only 320+ IDK how they got 550+ speeds when not even 1/2 that. i guess if you look at 330 crossed eyed it looks like 550 thats probably where the 550+ came from.

2 out of 5 eggsAnother dying after 3 months...

Pros: It was affordable with a rebate and worked well until it started dying.

Cons: I was apprehensive after seeing a bunch of reviews saying that the drive starts to give problems after 3 months. I saw that many more reviews said the drive was good. Those reviews must be people who write a review right after they get the item. The SSD worked amazingly well for 3 months and then one day when I booted up, after a few minutes of running got a bluescreen. The blue screen only last a fraction of a second, but after multiple boots, I can see that there are drive errors and memory dump occurs.

Other Thoughts: I booted windows on a local HDD and the computer works fine, so that rules out the idea that other parts are going bad on the computer.

Cons: had some random freezes doing everyday things such as browsing chrome and well everything.

Other Thoughts: seemed to work in my laptop though. my desktop is amd based and my laptop is intel dunno if that matters.

5 out of 5 eggsNot as bad as some paint the drive

Pros: Drive has been working fine since purchase. Migrated my Windows 7 OS onto the drive, no complaints whatsoever. Price is reasonable for this size as well.

Cons: 240GB drives are getting close to the same price.

Other Thoughts: Despite a lot of negative reviews, I have not had an issue with the drive. It works, and it works reliably so far.

2 out of 5 eggsNice Idea

Pros: Nice drive while it worked. Came with mounting plate. Even at 3gig sata the speed was noticeable over my old caviar black.

Cons: Came packaged in an envelope. 1 egg off to Newegg for that. Should have been a bad sign. Drive is now a cold, lifeless paperweight after only 4 months.

Other Thoughts: SSD is far too expensive still to be so prone to failure.

1 out of 5 eggsStay away

Pros: Works average while it lasts.

Cons: Data errors start happening a few months in. (Wondered why it had a rebate (which was not honored.)

Other Thoughts: Other brands that were purchased seem to still be kickin. There are also other drives that are faster.

Manufacturer Response:
