4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: I have it running at 1666 at 1.6 volts on a eVGA X58 motherboard.

Cons: Maybe it is just my batch but this ram is very touchy when it comes to timings. For some reason my ram will not run at the timings listed. It is running at 11-12-11-24 and tRFC at 150 @1T command rate.

I have tried increasing voltage but it will not post but like i said it just might be a bad batch because i took each one out and not 1 will run at the listed timings in the spec sheet.

5 out of 5 eggsI bought 3

Pros: I purchased 3 sets of these for an SR-2 computational server. These have been rock solid and look great!

Cons: 1333 mhz but I knew that going in. When one mounts the motherboard vertically the heatsink fans can slide off even when over tightened

Other Thoughts: I am happy with my purchase but I do not use the included heatsink fans

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very stable, no issues running at 1600mhz so far. The slightly slower timings are a trade-off of sorts for increased stability.

Cons: They're taller than normal sticks, make sure they'll fit in your build. (I didn't have any issues, but keep it in mind.)

Other Thoughts: I had 3 of them in a socket 1366 board with a Core i7 920 for a short while. I could run that at 1600mhz without any issue. Before, I had 6GB of Corsair XMS3 that would have occasional issues under heavy load running at 1600mhz. Could be related to the slower timing on this ram, but I can't say for sure (XMS3 sticks were 8-8-8-24). They are now in a socket 2011 build and I have not had a single issue so far.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: I had Dominator with my other board, and had excellent performance. It's a top-of-the-line memory choice. Even the Web site is well designed, and a pleasure to use to select your memory.

Cons: The Dominator series has high cooling fins. On my last board I had to replace my CPU heat sink fan, because it didn't have any clearance. I had to get one where the fan and fins were lined up vertically. In this install I'm using a water cooler - Corsair H80. I had the same problem because this board (Asrock X79 Pro) has memory slots on both sides of the CPU. The ones on the left didn't allow room for the cooler radiator to be installed against the back of the case as it was hitting the fins. I could have left it there, but there would have been pressure on one of the DIMS. And I have a Thermaltake Xaser VI, which is huge.

4 out of 5 eggsMind your head.

Pros: Works great so far in my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX. 24-hour burn in showed no issues.

Cons: A tad higher than my previous Corsair DIMMs. That combined with the slightly-closer proximity of the DIMM slots to the CPU socket caused a minor conflict with the CPU heat sink fan. Resolved by removing the fan guard.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks at 1600 but must use XMP profile

Pros: Stress tests show works fine at 1600. Defaulted to 1333 until I set up XMP profile in MB Bios. I don't know if this memory is better the the Corsair Vengeance series but I wanted the best stability and was willing to pay a bit of of premium for this. Photoshop CS5 64 does take advantage of the memory and this does speed up image processing.

Cons: None really. I just needed to learn how to apply XMP profile in Bios.
