5 out of 5 eggsthey work great

Pros: I bought these Corsair Vengeance sticks to go with an AMD 8350 and a crosshair V formula Z board. They booted up first try. i set my timings and voltage... over clocked my processor to 4.8 ghz. ran prime 95 and it ran for 6 hours no problem. this ram is really responsive @ 1866 mhz. i dont notice any identifiable wait time when clicking on stuff and programs seem to open up and be ready to use instantly. my system is blazing fast. no microstutter in games with SLI'd 760s. and running stable.

Cons: if i have to be picky it would be that when i seated these sticks they didnt seem to be spaced evenly. that kind of irked me so i shut my pc down and used my finger to move each one where it looked like it was supposed to be. didnt have to push hard at all and now my red and black color scheme looks amazing. judst wish i dint have to take that risk in the first place

Other Thoughts: if your a budget gamer like me that cant afford to go with intel or your an AMD fanboy then get the 1600 mhz version of this stuff and itll be perfect for you. the only reason i went with a faster set of sticks is becuase ill be doing alot of video editing as i start to record my gameplay for you tube. but any normal gamer doesnt need that kind of frequency for gaming; 1600 mhz is the sweet spot for AMD processors even if thier boards boast a max of 2400mhz... i just got rid of 4 gskill trident x 2400 mhz sticks for these 1866's becuase it was too much stress on the imc and i had to underclock/undervolt them and then over clock my northbridge to have them stable and get my system running right and even then my sli had micro stutter becuase it was liek my timings were all off plus my north bridge was like 8 degrees hotter than it needed to be.. didnt think that was healthy for my pc so i had to buy these to fix a problem that should have been more apparent when i bought my processor. the fx 8350 does not "support" over 1600mhz. so even though its possible to use over 1600mhz it can be more of a headache then its worth. save yourself apprx $200 and get the right ram the first time around.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works perfectly. No problems. Installed without a hitch on a Asus Sabertooth R2.0.

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: For some reason it was clocked at 1333 mhz when I first installed it. I read online that a lot of memory does that at first. So I went into the bios and turned it up.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazingly Fast for the price

Pros: Install was easy and the heat-dispensation casing looks incredible. It is not too bulky and fit neatly beside my Intel core i-7 processor (with factory fan). Overclocking was as easy as pie, and RAM stays relatively cool. Skyrim loves this RAM :-)

Cons: So far none. I'm 100% happy with this RAM. All in order sequentially and worked PERFECT out of the box.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this RAM again.

2 out of 5 eggsFirst Time

Pros: I liked the price of the memory set. I have just built my first PC ever after some readings.

Cons: I have come to realize my pc loading a bit to slow. I was loading like my old one had done. Then l looked into the BIOS and noticed all four sticks read in the 1300's and not the 1800's. Now i have to contact CORSAIR and the MB company to find out if its a settings problems. Disappointed in the company for possibly producing bad sticks.

Other Thoughts: They should put the products through a better testing process. Would have been more eggs, but the fact that all sticks might be damaged. :^(

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

Congratulations on your first build, although memory defaulting to 1333MHz is common and happens because the motherboard doesn't load X.M.P. profiles automatically. What we suggest you do is update to the latest BIOS version (you may find this on the your motherboard manufacturer's webpage), going into your system's BIOS and enabling X.M.P. This should load up the correct speeds and settings for the memory kit.

If you have further questions or need help setting up your system, feel free to contact our Tech Support at 800-205-7657 and we would be delighted to help you with your first build.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Update review: After contacting Gigabyte (990fxa-ud3) I was able to get this to run at 1866Mhz stable. Good solid memory. The computer runs much smoother now. Newegg's RMA was great since the 1st set had a dead stick.

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: Good solid memory

3 out of 5 eggsGigabyte 990FXA-UD3

Pros: Seems to run faster than my old PNY

Cons: One bad stick right out of the box

Other Thoughts: I bought these because my Motherboard said it could handle 1866Mhz memory. It defaulted 3 times in the BIOS to 1333Mhz which I already had. Any updates I will post.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Ivanslav,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, please fill out an RMA request on the Corsair Support Page and we'll be more than happy to replace the memory kit for you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support
