5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: I'm not as experienced when it comes to rating RAM performance as I am with CPUs or disks. I've always just been happy with lots of RAM. The more the better.

Regardless, I am happy with these sticks. They installed easily onto my ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK S. I'm running them fine under-clocked at DDR3 1600. 32 GB is overkill except for the fact that I run VMs for work.

Cons: I was surprised to see when I first started my new system my motherboard auto-detected these sticks at the DDR3 1333 spec instead of 1866. I would have expected at least 1600 given the proc I have officially supports DDR3 1600. Maybe this is because my motherboard operates the RAM in dual channel mode as suggested by previous reviewers. Honestly, I don't know why. Do I care? No.

Other Thoughts: I have 32,768 MB of RAM. Doom really only needed 4.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Memory

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: The memory runs very cool due to the large heat spreaders. However, it might interfere with larger coolers.
I had the Asus Z87 Sabertooth Tuf Series and worked without any issues. Able to overclock it to 2000MHz with the 4.3 GHz i7 4770K.

I had issues going past 2000MHz.
The memory clock speed is related to CPU clock and how high you can overclock it.

I currently use the same memory in the Asus Z97 Deluxe and have not ran into any issues. I increased the voltage from 1.5V to 1.55V to help with my CPU overclocked to 4.4 GHz.. Everything still runs cool.

Memory does pretty well with benchmarks - so you will not be disappointed with its performance.

Cons: Not really, but the larger heat spreaders may interfere with some CPU coolers. It is a good idea to check the dimensions before purchasing.

Other Thoughts: This memory is really easy to use and overclock. I did have some issues with going past 2000MHz, but that might be related to my motherboard and CPU not being able to support higher clock speeds.

The larger heat spreaders look really nice on the memory as well as help reduce the operating temperatures

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent RAM, Recommended

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: It worked well. 4/4 sticks worked well, passed 7 runs of Memtest 86+. Good speed, good price. Includes heat spreaders.

Cons: The tall heat spreaders interfered with the Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler heatsink / fan.

Other Thoughts: I used a heat gun to loosen the glue, and removed the heatspreaders carefully. No damage occured, the sticks all passed Memtest 86+ running overnight. If you purchase this RAM, you will not be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsNot really a review, just a question

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: So i was wondering if this would be not only compatible with, but work extraordinarily well with, the ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX/GEN3 R2.0 mobo. I've spent quiet sometime researching this and now I've just convinced myself for mistakes. It would very enlightening if someone would help make sure I'm getting exactly what i want.

Cons: Depending on support, I'm pretty sure there are none.

Other Thoughts: Hoping for support, wanna make sure i don't make any mistakes. Would love to go with this set of DIMMS.

Pros: Look great function great. Big heatsinks.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Too big for Noctua or Phanteks CPU coolers, so get a closed loop water cooler instead.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective Series - Do not purchase

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: Brand and Warranty.

Cons: Doesn't work. MemTest86+ failed horribly. Currently in process to RMA. Do NOT buy this RAM at all. Get a different model or a different brand. (Especially if this is intended for use in an AMD system.)

Other Thoughts: I've read numerous other reviews on this an similar 1866 MHZ Corsair products and MANY AMD users are having this same issue. It's an alarming amount for a company like Corsair.

First time I have built an AMD for myself since 2002 and I found out, after dealing with Corsair Support, many of their newer Corsair RAM modules are not automatically detected by AMD CPUs/Mobos, so you will likely have to manually enter the Latency, timings, etc in the BIOS. If you are purchasing RAM for an AMD PC, I would look at 1333 MHZ and, possibly, even another brand. I love Corsair, but I will not be pairing them with AMD again.

FYI: no overclocking done.

(In case you were wondering, I had a short in my 3 yr old ASUS Mobo for my i7 950 and it seemed to make more sense to buy an AMD FX 8350 because it was impossible to buy a NEW board for my old i7. I had to rebuild and I thought I'd try AMD since I could probably buy a new board for their chip 3-5 years after I bought it and avoid the current need to rebuild my system. Just spend $75 on a new board! Hopefully Corsair will handle the quickly and I'll see about using AMD products.)

5 out of 5 eggsmore speed at 32

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: With 32 gigs, I set 20 for ram disk- faster than the ssd. lots of fun. not one crash yet, still trying.

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: I was told no one needs 32g of ram. I say why not.

5 out of 5 eggsI Love Corsair

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10

Pros: I have no need to con Corsair at all. 32GB's is more than enough for anyone, but WOW I love these things.
I build maps, I photoshop, I multi-task search, & a lot of the times all at once....
These things hold up rather well.

I have dual monitors and actually had softwar, IE, & a video running on one monitor & my game on the other. This does have a lot to do with video, but the Corsair Ram is holding its own very well!!!

Cons: I dont have more.
Vengeance dont have a cool light up Airflow that the Dominator does.
