4 out of 5 eggsEasy Setup

Pros: Setup was bing bang boom, cheap price on newegg, and passed memtest 86 upon installation.

Cons: Didn't come with unicorns and magical RAM fairies that guarantee the ram stick never to ever go bad ever.

Other Thoughts: Didn't blow me away, but didn't disappoint me either. Does exactly what it should. Last Corsair stick I had died on me after 1 year. It is a reputable brand, however, so I gave them another shot.

5 out of 5 eggsNice hardware

Pros: Easy to install (thanks Lenovo). Passed RAM tests.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Windows wouldn't recognize it at first because I hadn't seated the chip ALL the way in. Don't forget to shimmy the chip in until it feels tight before pressing it into the retaining clips. If the clips are reluctant to accept the chip, chances are it's not all the way in.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks in my ASUS G75VW

Pros: Works with no errors. WEI went up slightly. Better latency than the stock memory in ASUS which is 11-11-11-28.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My Asus G75 has two 4 gig sticks of RAM from the factory with two left open. Installing this in one of the available slots may have pulled me out of dual channel mode but I wanted to make sure it worked fine before ordering another stick. Looks like everything is in good working order here and the second stick has been ordered. Will update if it becomes necessary.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Service. Faulty Ram.

Pros: Umm... no pros if it didn't work.

Cons: Bad memory. I kept getting the blue screen of death shortly after installing this ram. I didn't know that ram could cause blue screens, so after reformatting twice, I thought either the motherboard or processor may have gone bad. We bought a new laptop, and installed this ram into the new laptop. It wasn't until this time that I realized the ram was causing all the blue screens. It caused them in the new laptop too. I wrote a nice detailed email to corsair asking what the next step was, and how to get a refund.

Their reply was forcing me to register on their site, and submit my request a second time. This reply came a week or two after my initial request, and it didn't include my original message, so I couldn't copy/paste all the important info. Now I have this bad ram, and have to try yet again to get my money back.
