5 out of 5 eggsSystem (Future Proofing) Upgrade

Pros: Great RAM that is still a viable product nearly 3 years after introduction to market.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased the same 2x8GB kit back in 2012. The memory has operated flawlessly. Purchased a second set to "future proof" my system in preparation for a Motherboard & Processor upgrade Next year

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory, but if you max out your MB, be prepared...

Pros: Quick, easy to install and the cooling keeps the memory working well even when summer deals you 100F

Cons: big, sharp edges and if you don't got space, don't buy these memory sticks.

Other Thoughts: Something all memory makers should do is when maxing out memory on your MB you very often need to do research if there's anything you need to change in the BIOS to be able to handle that much memory. My machine with a Gigabyte MB kept crashing when being config:ed with 32Gb. Turned out this was a known issue in Gigabyte MBs:
http://superuser.com/questions/402333/computer-slow-after-installing-32gb-ram
and one had to do changes in BIOS to be able to handle this much memory. Ridiculous if you ask me.

5 out of 5 eggsFreeNAS Server

Pros: See Other thoughts.

Cons: See Other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I've been using these in my freenas box setup in RAIDz2 (8 - 3TB drives). No errors whatsoever. Extremely durable and stable. Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair is always dependable as expected

Pros: I have never had a memory error, and it is fast,

Cons: No cons that come to memory (if you will pardon the pun).

Other Thoughts: few programs, even Windows itself, write software to take advantage of the multi threading my quad core cpu and all this memory make available to me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Look, Great Quality

Pros: Visually Appealing in my CPU Build
Runs as advertised with nearly perfect 1600 clock.

Have not had any issues whatsoever, even though I was building in a very static prone environment.

Cons: A tad bit pricier than other similar products, I find that the cost is worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't beat the price

Pros: Purchased the pair of 8GB modules when they were on sale for under $100. Not to mention that they look pretty sweet.

Cons: Had stability issues with one module after about 6 months and had to remove it. System running on 8GB now and still capapble of performing what we need it to. The cool looking "fins" make it a high profile component and got in the way of one of the fans to my heat sink.

Other Thoughts: Can't beat 16GB for $89. I cringe though because I want to purchase another set...but don't really want to fork over full price.
