5 out of 5 eggsWorks in my Mac Mini

Pros: Good price, works

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I put this in my mid-2011 Mac Mini. Apple officially says this Mac Mini can only support 8 GB. However, various websites reported that it could take 16, so I took the plunge. I put it in and it works like a charm!

3 out of 5 eggsProblems after 1 year

Pros: Inexpensive, had a rebate, lifetime warranty

Cons: Intermittent failure

Other Thoughts: At first I started getting a frozen cursor when playing games. Then a few random reboots. Finally came home one day and my Macbook had garbled video and was doing three beeps, pause, three beeps...

I researched and found out it was likely bad RAM. Ran the Apple Hardware Test and basic and complete modes - same result - bad memory. Specifically 4MEM/9/40000000: 0x846b2198

I've requested an express replacement from Corsair - we'll see if the replacements are any good. I never ran a test when I first installed the RAM - I recommend you do so when you put them in.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat in a mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13"

Pros: Easy to install. Greatly increased the responsiveness of my laptop.

Cons: None that I've observed.

Other Thoughts: I'm a web developer and I have been using a base-model mid-2012 13" Macbook pro as my primary work machine. It was working fine but between switching from Textmate to Sublime Text 2 and a project that had me spending more time in Photoshop, it needed a bit of a boost. Everything is markedly faster now, including loading large PSD files.

Apple says this particular machine will take up to 8 Gigs of RAM, but I took a chance and I'm happy to report that the OS is recognizing all 16 Gigs and the RAM has functioned flawlessly. This upgrade turns one of Apple's least expensive laptops into a seriously productive machine.

5 out of 5 eggsBargain price, Compabible with Mac Mini 2011

Pros: Perfect compatibility with Mac Mini 2011. Upgraded my mini to 16GB. Additionally, with a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD from Newegg, this makes my original $600 mini powerful enough to easily run 12GB Fusion virtual machines. The W7x64 Windows Experience Index inside the VM (aside from graphics) is 7.7 to 7.9 for both RAM and disk. Wow

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Researched this and I believe this is the most popular and compatible RAM for upgrading the Mac Mini 2011. Definitely the price is awesome, too.

5 out of 5 eggsMacBook Pro upgrade

Pros: Passed memtest, huge bang for the buck.
2011 MacBook Pro had no issues recognizing the all 16GB of memory.

Cons: Pachaging seemed a bit on the cheesy side, but I can overlook that for the price.

Other Thoughts: This laptop originally came with 4GB of memory, I upgraded it last year to 8GB, and its gotten so cheap now I figured I should do it now if I planned on keeping the machine for another 2 years or so.

Seems like a great value, easy upgrade for your machine.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Flawlessly

Pros: Fast. Super fast!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I installed these into my Late-2011 15" MacBook Pro without any problem. While Apple doesn't officially support 16GB on this model, the hardware does work with 16GB of RAM. No problems at all and the MBP is running Skyrim like a dream!

1 out of 5 eggsseemed ok until.....

Pros: It registers as 16gb on my late 2011 Macbook Pro.

Cons: It worked for about one week. Afterwards it started to cause my computer to freeze. I have used gskill 2x4gb ram without any issues. When I put the oem or gskill ram back in, its smooth sailing.. Not only does it freeze.. it also causes the rainbow ball of death.

Other Thoughts: I wish it worked...
