2 out of 5 eggsBroke

Pros: - Lasted almost a half a year
- USB 3.0

Cons: -cap is very easily looseable
- usb jack will eventually brake off
- unreadable at times

Other Thoughts: Corsair makes great products, I just don't get why they would make such a construction for a usb flash drive, its so flimsy and cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Rubber casing helps seal out moisture and protect against cracking or breakage.

Cons: Only 64GB; not much of a complaint.

Other Thoughts: I sprang at the chance to purchase this thumbdrive when it was available for $56. I have complete confidence in Corsair, a manufacturer specializing in memory. I giggled getting such a bargain.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: It feels sturdy.

Cons: Less than a year of use and it's toast. This is the first USB flash drive I've EVER had fail on me. Will not work in any computer no light nothing.

Other Thoughts: If you look at corsairs site you'll see many people have had the same problem. Corsair says they'll replace them, but they can't replace the data you had on them. If you need storage you CAN'T depend on go ahead and get this.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 4 months

Pros: Size, price, keychain hole doesn't break as its rubber and flexes.

Cons: Started acting flaky after two months and as of yesterday (just short of four months or use) can't format the drive. I have looked online and I see many others with the same issue. NewEgg RMA is past and I can't find this product in the drop down list on Corsairs site. Scam. Don't buy this drive.

Other Thoughts: Again, don't buy this drive.

1 out of 5 eggsUnit Failed

Pros: The unit seemed to be a decent unit for the first few months.

Cons: I never had a chance to even come close to filling it up. Yesterday I transferred photos to it from an SD card (only 2.4 gb) and it crashed. It is unable to be saved or reformatted.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear mdavis0698,

We're sorry to hear about your troubles with the drive. Please contact our Tech Support at 800-205-7657 and we will be happy to help you.

Thank you,

3 out of 5 eggsDON'T PUT IN YOUR POCKET!

Pros: Please read ALL of this review - This is NOT a complaint, but you need to be aware of it.

Very fast read speed.

Corsair Tech Support was great even after 4 RMA's (however, they refused to issue a cash refund since the original NewEgg Warranty was only 30 days and it first failed at 50 days)

Works great - BUT....
DON'T BEND THIS DEVICE !
DON'T CARRY THIS IN YOUR POCKET !

You have been warned !

Cons: Not a huge issue, but slower on writes than some other USB3 drives and all of the Voyager line is physically larger when compared to many other similar devices. (2 times the size of a cheap pocket flash drive and 3 times the size of one of the capless folding type drives.)

MAJOR ISSUE - I had to RMA FOUR of these in less than 60 days use each. The drive is fine... the problem is that the case is fairly large and is SOFT RUBBER. If you put this in your pocket, the device will flex and crack the circuit board and you will be unable to access anything on the drive.

I had some serious discussions with Corsair Support in which they denied any logic flaws... But, if you look online, there are quite a number of complaints on the entire line of drives as well as another brand with a similar soft rubber case. With this many failures, I was CERTAIN that there was a problem.

Other Thoughts: After so many problems, I thought it was a chip or manufacturing problem until I ran across a comment where the user was able to get back into the drive by squeezing the casing really hard and someone else suggested "Reflowing" the device. That's when I realized the real issue was that there is NOT a rigid casing inside the rubber.

When I got my 5th RMA, I used the device as a FlashCache on my PC and it has been GREAT.

So - Great drive - but DON'T BEND IT !

2 out of 5 eggsDied less than 3 months

Pros: VERY fast. The USB transfers were just great. Crystal DiskMark showed sequential writes over 70 MB/s. The 512K block size writes were over 30MB/s. The Reads were even faster. Having that much storage, and that fast, was sweet.

Cons: Died less than 3 months after I got it. Copied all my personal files befoer I left my last job, > 55GB of data. Transferred a small PDF for someone at new job, and drive crashed. Windows says it's not formatted. Device was properly ejected every time. Did not have many cycles on it -maybe 50 writes and 100 reads. The width blocks other ports on my laptop. Got a little warm after being plugged in - could feel the het after about 10-15 minutes even thru the rubber coating.

Other Thoughts: Had it good for awhile. Don't know if it's the size, the USB 3, the heat, etc. Sucks when you think you have everything with you & it dies. I have backups, but not while I was travelling.

1 out of 5 eggsHmm

Pros: None

Cons: Slow, unreliable, overheats.

Other Thoughts: Would return to Newegg but past 30 days, will RMA to Corsair. Other manufacturers USB 3.0 clued me in to the fact the Corsair USB device is problem some.
